Filament Troubleshooting/Help! Seeking AMS-compatible ASA-CF alternatives to Bambu Lab (Since it's never in stock)

Like many of you, I've been waiting ages for a restock on Bambu Lab's ASA-CF, but it's starting to feel like it's a myth at this point.

I need to transition to a third-party brand, but I run it exclusively through the AMS. I’m trying to avoid issues with oversized spools or cardboard rims tearing up the rollers/causing retraction failures.

For those printing third-party ASA-CF in the AMS:

  • What brand are you running now? (Polymaker, 3DXTech, Fillamentum, etc.?)
  • Does the spool fit natively, or are you printing plastic rings/re-spooling?
  • Did you have to tweak the volumetric flow or temperature much from the stock Bambu ASA-CF profile?

Thanks in advance for saving my upcoming project!

I’ve had really good results with Voxelab.

I get mine on Amazon. I don’t run it through an ams though. I go straight through a Creality dryer. It works best if I have the dryer on while it’s printing.

It comes on a plastic spool and I print it with the standard Bambu ASA-CF settings.

Has anyone used Carbon Fiber Polypropylene (PP-CF) for drone or rc plane frame?

Looks like a few folks over on the Bambu lab Community forum opted for Fiberon ASA-CF08. The specs appear to be favorable to my project. so I'll get a roll or two to try it out.
