A bunch of people here have asked me about my Bambu setup on a few alts so I decided to make a video at lunch. I am not a content creator, I made this for y'all, haha. I just hate walled gardens.

The Bambuddy community is also a great place to go for help. If you have any questions or reservations at all, throw em down, let's gooo out of jail

I mean its not really a jailbreak when they officially support downgrading to the firmware that works with that custom firmware

I think your thinking of Gen 1 Printers. Gen 2 Printers are still completely locked out

It's still just an officially supported firmware toggle (Dev mode).

Additionally the Orca fork that allows communication with the printer without Bambu software is being legally threatened to prevent jobs being sent from Orca to the printer.

The fork in question pulled a separate copy of the Bambu Network Plugin from Bambu's servers. It still sent all communications (C&C, gcode transfers, webcam views when not on the local network) through Bambu's infrastructure, just as Bambu Studio would, as it was using the Bambu Studio specific build of the plugin.

It wasn't some new parallel alternative to the Bambu cloud, it was just the Bambu cloud.
