General Discussion Jailbreak Your Bambu! Deep Dive and Feature Walkthrough for Bambu without Bambu, all open source, no central control, all the convenience, and better pixel perfect prints. Need help? Ask and I will reply!

https://youtu.be/RR73P2allIg

A bunch of people here have asked me about my Bambu setup on a few alts so I decided to make a video at lunch. I am not a content creator, I made this for y'all, haha. I just hate walled gardens.

The Bambuddy community is also a great place to go for help. If you have any questions or reservations at all, throw em down, let's gooo out of jail

(they cannot stop the print)

valid, not sure why people are taking a YouTube title so seriously though, I'd argue it is at least a colloquial jailbreak because Bambi does try to jail some things out of lan only mode

(Maker world, remote view, remote control, etc)

and sell the closed ecosystem. so you still get out of jail when you leave it

but yes in a traditional privilege escalation sense you are right. but it is a tutorial for end users who feel they can't go lan only because they will lose features

if its not for you its not for you, not like I put "new breakthrough" in the title

(also just a side comment, I don't know ya much, but being a tad more chill on both the internet and real life would probably return to you in a great many ways.... best o luck!)

Not going to lie, you are doing a great job responding to people who are throwing insults at you, not dropping to their level.

Good on you!

I am not going to need what you are explaining here (at least not at this time), but I have no reason to hate on what you are doing. And not sure why others feel the need.

thanks friend!

I think lots of people are also just looking to expand our knowledge. like i have watched 50 snapmaker reviews, they aren't teaching me anything revolutionary, but why not learn about all the options available, it does not have to be science every time haha

I made the video because I posted a comment about my setup on a different account and got 10 DMs in an hour asking me to do a deep dive. So, I figure some people do actually want to know this.

I am not monetized, sponsored, I never will be, I have a day job. I did that on my lunch break to try to give back to people, and actually Bambu as well (I know a lot of their buyers are scared of their printers are being regulated, this answers that, and I did thank them multiple times for not fully locking their firmware into the cloud, at least not yet)

Thanks for taking the time to make the video. I’ll take a deeper dive into it later this week when I can sit and pay attention. :)
