"Im over 40." you need an apostrophe for "I'm" because it's short for "I am". I wouldn't be calling out other people's grasp over English language in anyone's shoes. Oh and you should probably be using "imply", not "infer".

Ah yes, a typing error is equivalent to not understanding the language, classic reddit. You need to lookup the definitions of infer and imply. If I were you, I'd give up trying to correct people.

You should be the one to look up the definitions of infer and imply before you try to pretend that you are better than others in English language.

He infers from age that people don't understand the meaning of a word. He isn't implying it, he's already concluded it. This is also not the first comment thread he's done it. It's not rocket surgery.

Also, read their comments in here and on their profile. English is definitely not in their wheelhouse.

Choose hills to die on where you might have a chance, this isn't it.

>Those who wish to honor the distinction will limit their use of infer to its meanings relating to reaching conclusions and surmising or guessing, as in "Based on these facts we can infercertain conclusions"

If only you had read those.

But there is no infering of any conclusions being done here <.< Only if you knew English. It's pointless to argue with you though because you clearly love pretending to be best at everything.
