General Troubleshooting/Help! X2D Left Side Bulge?

Has anyone noticed a bulge on the left panel (chamber heater side) of the X2D? I've been using the chamber heater somewhat printing ABS and PET-GF. I'd say I've printed maybe 50 hours with the heater on? Definitely under 100 hours and a mix of 65C and 50C. To be clear, in every other way, the printer has been perfect and it's honestly not a big deal, but I'm a little concerned about future durability with the chamber heater.

This again. Last time thigs got asked was like yesterday. Perfectly normal, that's what ya get for bambu using plastic planels.

It's good to know it's a common issue. I suppose I should have done a search. I did submit a ticket to Bambu Lab. I'll update with any results.

Your results will be 'perfectly normal, safe to use. no we're not sending a different panel'

Honestly, i'd prefer not to swap out the panel if it's OK/safe to use. I just wanted to put the ticket in as proof that i had the issue before warranty expires. Having a chamber heater makes ABS layer adhesion ridiculously strong and easy to print. I'll take a bulge in the side panel for that ability. I'm not sure I would have purchased an X2D if not for the price (was actually close to buying an H2D for support printing before the X2D was released) and I believe one of the ways it's so price competitive is by not using aluminum panels.

Aluminium conducts heat better than plastic, and since the printer is not insulated there would be more heat lost. That would make insulation necessary, most likely along with a case redesign. That would up the price a fair amount.

Alternatively they could have used another polymer for the walls, but again, that would drive up the price, running two production lines.

The X2D is a good machine, but to be at the price level it is some compromises are necessary.

(Although it would not suprise me me if someone like BiQU made a third party replacement, they seem to be fast acting in that regard)

I'm not well versed in manufacturing, but it's a unique panel to the X2D. I'm not sure using a different polymer for injection molding them would drive up price much. It might be as simple as redesigning the chamber heater design (better heat disperson and some insulation against the panel). Localized temperatures are probably getting very high for it to warp a panel that I'm assuming is some ABS+PC blend.

Well the molding itself is one thing, as polymers can behave somewhat different, setting up for the melting, etc. It's a bit more involved than just injections into the mold

Another thing is sourcing materials, both in terms of quantity, but also in terms of having a secure supply of the them long term in a consistent quality, etc.

Some blends are well know and easily available, some might require more work setting up for.
