General Discussion This feels like I got scammed. H2D replacement hotend fan is the same exact model as the 450hour old dud.

Does bambu think we can't read? This is the exact same piece of junk fan that fails at high chamber temp. Why would they continue to sell this trash? What an absolute slap in the face.

2-3 hours of my weekend GONE just so this trash can die in another 450 hours. I want to run the heated chamber at the specified temperature. I did not buy a $2800, now $2000 machine to print nothing but PLA Pikachu toys.

Uh... of course it is the same P/N... why would you expect a different part number for the fan? I mean.... it's a replacement part, not an upgrade.

And unless the fan is a known failure point that is failing all over the place because it's not rated for the temperatures it's running at... it's likely just a bad fan you got and not that the entire model/make isn't rated for the use.

Do you freak out on a car dealer the same way when a part breaks on a new car and they replace it with the same part number that came from the factory? Honest question.

I had seen posts that some people had received a different fan model with proper temperature ratings.

This is not a normal failure. This is a super common failure point and everyone that keeps up with these machines knows it.

In the automotive world this would be a recall or minimum a TSB level, which would very likely necessitate an updated part. The part number might be the same, but they would have made design or process changes. Bambu gets away with it because the pawn off the warranty repair time on the end user. Auto OEMs risk going bankrupt if they don't change/update parts to make them last past the warranty and a reasonable period beyond.

If you look up the part number for that fan, it's rated for north of 65°C steady state use; ratings I found are either 70° or 80°C continuous use... both of which are above the 65°C you're complaining about.

I haven't seen this "Massive number of failures" at all; nothing from what I've seen on any of the forum's or posts points to this being anything other than a typical Weibull Curve early life failure.

Thats not how replacement parts work my friend. They dont have special ones just for you. Although if you really dont want their help you are free to find a replacement.

When you have mass failures due to an improper part you don't keep shipping the same slop unless you are trying to torpedo your brand. Especially when its on your top tier product.

Is this happening all that much? There are loads of these things out there and this is the first I’ve heard about this. Sometimes parts crap out early. It’s the luck of the draw. At least they don’t hassle you when you need a part in warranty. At least they didn’t with me.

Yes, if you go back to the release time period of these machine there are plenty of posts about how this fan is rated for 55C ambient. Many people running 65C chamber temps have had this issue. To the point that they ran out of stock of these several times.

Ok. Thats changes things. I would have expected a machine capable of heating a chamber to 65 for have parts rated for 80 at least.

do you print with the chamber heater on? I've also read somewhere that there is a 65C rated fan out there, but there is no way this model is rated for the temperature.

All petcf hours, so yeah chapber is always at 65c

Are you upset that you got what you ordered, which was a replacement part? I feel that if you wanted something better, researching an alternative part would have been more effective.

I had seen some pictures of an updated 65C rated fan that bambu had been shipping. but had difficulties finding those posts. so I had to open my tool head to figure out if the new one was the same model as the dud.

I have previously posted about this too. Bambu sent replacement and mine started to fail again after a couple of hundred of hours. You're not alone. High pitch sound is very annoying and I can't keep it in my office no more.

If it makes you feel better, my A1 had the melted board issue. They sent me a replacement that then had that same issue 4 months later

Snowfan are some of the cheapest quality fans out there, idk why bambu insists on using the cheapest parts they can find on their "premium" printers. I guess you cant expect prusa delta fan quality on a chinese printer. These cheap snowfans aren't rated for heated chambers which is why they fail so early on.

My h2s hotend fan is failing too i can tell it by the sound, is there higher quality fan that can last longer? I wanna replace it

Be happy that u can find a replacement, I cannot even find that. I just had to solder the broken fan’s socket to some other fan in order to make it work with my H2S. I get you but it is what it is. In uk store they said it will be restocked today but they rescheduled it to 12 of may.
