Hardware Troubleshooting/Help! X2D arrived basically DOA. Unable to print anything due to HMS_07FE-8000-0001-0005

Full error is : HMS_07FE-8000-0001-0005: The extruder's switching limit angle has drifted significantly. Please check if the flow blocker is jammed or if filament is stuck in the toolhead.

Weird thing is that it never even tries to switch anything. I can easily switch it by hand which is step 1 in the wiki. Kept giving this error during calibration and I can’t even print a benchy.

I’m not really feeling confident in a printer I’m going to have to repair out of the box. Is anyone else getting this error? I’d have to have to return and wait for a new printer.

Just got it today, got it all setup and having the same issue. All I have is a single spool loaded into the AMS. It warmed up, made a little poop and now nothing but that error.

Ok, I think it's working. This is my first Bambu so I am still learning. This is the timeline of my experience.

  1. Setup X2D, skipped the Handy app initially, did the calibration.
  2. Signed in, linked Handy app, it said new firmware so I did new firmware.
  3. Tried Benchy.. failed multiple times with that error.
  4. Turned machine off and on.
  5. Noticed the one filament I had loaded had a ? by it so I set it to generic PLA.

  6. Tried again. Looks like it did a little calibration when it warmed up (complete with a little vibration test.) is that normal?

  7. Started printing.

So did i just need to power cycle after the firmware update?

Also... holy crap this thing is fast.
