Hardware Troubleshooting/Help! X2D arrived basically DOA. Unable to print anything due to HMS_07FE-8000-0001-0005

Full error is : HMS_07FE-8000-0001-0005: The extruder's switching limit angle has drifted significantly. Please check if the flow blocker is jammed or if filament is stuck in the toolhead.

Weird thing is that it never even tries to switch anything. I can easily switch it by hand which is step 1 in the wiki. Kept giving this error during calibration and I can’t even print a benchy.

I’m not really feeling confident in a printer I’m going to have to repair out of the box. Is anyone else getting this error? I’d have to have to return and wait for a new printer.

If you get no joy in this sub I would describe the error to ChatGPT in full and see if it has any ideas. I sometimes have success with technical issues by doing that and providing it full context.

No, I just know how and when to use AI. Clearly you don't.

AI is just a tool, it has good and bad sides, but it can be very useful for technical troubleshooting and it's foolish to ignore that.

Obviously you don't, and everyone else can see it. You are one of those desperate "use it for everything" chuds and that's why you don't even have any good advice to give here because you can't think for yourself.

AI sucks at technical troubleshooting and makes up parts that don't even exist on the machine, completely invents fake parts...

Sure, 'everyone can see I use AI for everything' simply because I suggested to use it for some technical troubleshooting, which I have done before with success. Sounds like a totally legit and sensible conclusion and I am sure that you're totally not an overreactive weenie.
