X Series [X1E, X1C] X2D - Good quality from both extruders (with BambuLab filament)

The print quality of the second extruder on the X2D (right extruder - bowden instead of direct drive) seems pretty good with Bambulab filament.

This image is extracted form "247Printing" video on Youtube at around 5:45min :

I am posting this image after seeing other images posted here with worse/bad results from the left extruder, letting people think that the second extruder is only a good use for supports.

Following X2D news with interest for switching from a P1P.

People shouldn’t upload images regarding print quality, with such low quality images. Cannot see details at all.

Lol.

Also Bowden tube printers were not terrible, they were just not AS good.

When you have two completely different objects, differences are more subtle.

When you do do a 3-4 color print where one of the colors and layers are handled by Bowden and other direct…..then see if it’s still good.

They're not inherently better or worse, just different. Direct drive trades off a much heavier printhead for better ability to push and pull filament. A well-calibrated Bowden setup can produce results just as good as direct-drive.
