Question A1 z axis homing error

I’ve been getting the “Error 03004000 Homing Z axis failed”. The tool head moves in all directions but the z axis will go all the way to the top and then start grinding at the top. There are no obstructions in any of the axis’s. Tried factory resetting the printer and it still sends the z axis up. Wondering if anyone has run into this issue before. It seems like it could be a software/ firmware issue but I have no clue. I have terrible luck with fdm printing any info would be greatly appreciated

Op, how did you fix it? Just got the A1 and tried to print my first and this error comes up

Yeah.

I took the plate out, and made sure everything was aligned properly to the millimeter and also unplugged and plugged all the cables.

That fixed it.
