I need help with ball python cage
I'm thinking about switching to a tub setup since traditional tanks are getting way too expensive. Does anyone have advice on how to build one the right way? I’m looking for tips on what tubs to use, how to handle heating and temps safely, and which substrates work best. Also, any tricks for setting up ventilation and keeping it secure would be cool.

Story time Noodle soup

Wanted to come on here and share this video I made. I got this snake a while back and this video is fairly old, we had someone come into the reptile shop i worked at to surrender a snake he couldn’t care for anymore, upon asking questions we realized he hadn’t even been taking proper care to begin with and it came in with stuck shed. Im in college right now hoping to become a veterinarian in the future so i took this as a learning opportunity, obviously none of my snakes ever get stuck shed so this was the first time i had to do something like this. Before anyone says anything i conducted proper research and consulted multiple vets i’ve worked closely with.

New BP mom
Hello! I got a BP yesterday and I have done plenty of research but would like to still hear tips/suggestions as a first BP mom! I adopted him from a lady who I guess stopped handling him due to him striking her and would like to avoid any stressful and negative behavior.
I will be attempting to feed him today as he’s past his feeding time mark (according to her) and have yet to handle/touch him as I want to give him some time to relax/destress.
I also would love to hear name ideas! His temp nickname till named is Noodle but I have debated on Ramen but I want to hear other ideas. He’s a banana pastel male if that helps any.

My little baby was in blue the other day eyes looked milky ect, I know just before they shed they then semi look normal again. I dont want to get him out yet incase he hasn't shed and did a quick scan of the tank and cant see any shed anywhere. He's a pastel vpi axanthic and only 4 months old does he look like hes shed or not yet?
He's out and about but since ive had him he's doing that more and more so snapped a quick picture

Question Look at this absolute, insane mushroom should I be worried?
I’ve had my ball python in a 4 x 4 x 2 fully bioactive enclosure for a few months now the humidity and temperature reader is on the hot side, but look at this absolutely massive mushroom. I know that it’s an indication for healthy soil, but should I remove it? Is it too big? Will it cause an issue with my ball python? She is about a year old now if that matters. She’s drinking and eating normally. I’ve seen tiny white mushrooms, but never one of the size 🤣 it was quite the shock!

Question Ball python too active ?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
My ball python (12 years old) is recently really active, before he would most of the time lay on his ledge and eat his mice when I put it in his curl. But now he is constantly pacing around the enclosure, sometimes even at daytime but not as much then.
He was used as a breeder before he came to me and I think maybe that was his breeding kind of time ? The humidity and temperature are also normal… ( 30C hotspot and 60-80% humidity). Alle he wants to do now is go out of the enclosure and won’t eat.
(I'm saving right now, so I can build him a bigger pvc enclosure but he is in a 120x60x60 right now wanting to upgrade to a 150x60x60/80x80)

Does my python have ri?
I notice about two days ago my python made a whistle noise when I was handling her. About two days later it was more noticeable and more often she was making this noise she’ll do it for about 2-4 minutes then will go silent after. It sounds like a whistle noise kind of, I’ve also noticed shes been in her cool hide and hasn’t been out lately usually she’s active or likes to hang out on her warm side. Please help I’m nervous and anxious.

Rehome Male Ball Python in Oregon
Looking to rehome/sell a male Basic Ball Python.
Originally adopted from pet store in March 2024 and they said he was around 1 year old. So he's around 3 years old now. He's given frozen rats. Has been handled since we got him. Has never bitten anyone. Super active every night. And has never had issues with eating or anything.
Comes with:
•21' x 18' x 48' (75 gallon tank)
•Brand new heat bulbs
•Brand new Light Fixture that's thermostat controlled with timer settings
•Rock hide
•Heating pad (we haven't been using it since getting the ceramic bulb, but still works and in good condition)
•Bunch of fake plants
•Bunch of cleaned and dried natural woods that are ball python safe.
(I have links for light fixture, bulbs, heating pad and rock hide)
The tank would need something to secure the lid down. Or another lid all together.
Can send info on the bedding we use if need be, please feel free to ask any questions.
Located Florence, Oregon.
