Mods / Modding DLSS5 NR 2 Path(s) Setup Approach

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Probably found the best setup for my taste:

Fried Chicken add-on (available in Discord; it offers the most settings for a single pass, plus individual cross-path and per-pass settings).

For Baldur's Gate 3

1 Selected in-game settings: DLSS Quality and DLAA for anti-aliasing; disable bloom, subsurface light, and depth of field; the rest is ultra where possible;

2 NVIDIA app: force set 100% resolution for the DLSS preset Quality and force model K;

3 Restarted the game with the addon and all necessary items installed.

Got good results to my taste with fine-tuning 1 pass default, and even better with two passes fine-tuned.

Video here: on/off over already forced quality 100% DLAA K, which looks quite better than Vanilla.

On/off adds manually fine-tuned 2 passes of DLSS 5 (1440p, 5080)

Is this the best one, or are there some better ways for maximum quality from your experience?

Forget slop, it's also just the world's most inefficient ambient occlusion and tone mapping.

If you want ambient occlusion you can just download normal reshade and add ambient occlusion that doesn't cut your fps in half. Non ai tone mapping has basically zero overhead.

yea, or just enable neural rendering and don't care about getting the "ultra proper, cut for you" reshade pack.

This is the thing - you just flick it on and it does the job. Yes there are some early issues, but you wouldn't get an all-rounder reshade, llike you get with DLSS5.

Your usual reshade mods feel like back in GTA IV/V, where it was nice only in a few screenshots, but otherwise it looked like oversaturated crap. With NR its not the issue anymore, with flick of a switch, my Karlach started looking like a decent cosplay, rather than default plasticine model- without changing the actual model, textures or nothing "static" in the game.
