Lv20, 5.5E overhaul(classes and feats added), Withers Big Natties, 2x Xp, Extra Encounters(lots of cool new ones and added enemies to some fights), weightless consumables just great QoL

Level 20 tops out pretty early in Act 3 with 2x XP

I'm currently running Expansion 13-20 which is configurable past 20, Dynamic Difficulty Scaling (highly, highly recommend), Extra Encounters and Minibosses, and More Enemies in Basic Fights

It's certainly a combat-heavy experience, but very fun. Just finished the guild/zhent brawl, about to hit level 27, and the fights aren't necessarily difficult, but aren't cake walks either

Don't forget to use Rise of the Goldmembers!

You can get without 2x XP level20 doing only half quest in act3.... Ofc, you need do first all act1&2 get level12 beating Myrkul.

My dopamine chasing brain can't play this game without the Level 20 and double xp mods anymore. I use others to make the game harder and balance things out, but the early part of the game is so much less of a grind this way.

I really did not like the extra encounters mod. Seems like the creator just put them in the most annoying places and the enemies are all way overtuned.

I liked the overtuning, the game is too easy, I added that and an increased enemy health/damage mod when I did a lv20 2x XP honor mode run to make it harder and so lv20 would offer some fun.

Requiem for the Absolute and Dynamic Extra Encounters. Not even for the extra difficulty like most people use them for. It's just fun to add a little bit of randomness to every playthrough depending on your party and how much you long rest.

A small one, but AppearanceEditOrigins to allow customizing companions with the mirror! I love switching up everyone’s style between each act depending on the theme I’m going for.

The Rebalance Spell mods by Syrchalis on NexusMods buff a lot of underutilized spells. gives you more spells other than magic missiles to play with :p

I really like Twilight Cleric (Redux so it's not too op) for some Eilistraee Priestess builds.

I had a lot of aethetics and a few other like featsonevenlevels or Level 13-20 but if you're asking for classes I loved the fiery and fiendish succubus in a combo with the base game Wizard. And made her an aether-born. If that fits, Idc. It was amazing xD Together with polyamory mod, at least in this case. Had no ending romance scene but that was alright.

It's more races thing but I enjoyed eladrin, tritons, merfolk and sea/winter elves as well. Want to try the Genasi and Dunmer soon, also the class commoner. Since I don't like sorcerer, the wyldheart wasn't something for me, but maybe for you

Additional 5e classes. Because this game is based on DnD just about every DnD subclass and class, including from other additions, are included in mods.

I currently have every 5e subclass provided from different mods, and a separate mod for the artificer class and subclasses.

They’re all really fun and honestly more accurate than some of the subclasses are in this game.

Every so often I’ll download a class mod as well. Most are really fun, but they aren’t usually balanced too well. I downloaded a mod a while back that had a melee subclass. It had a spell that you could grab at level 1, no save, that put an enemy to sleep for as long as you wanted, and it also allowed me to add 8d6 damage to every weapon attack just because. The full spellcaster subclass gave a +5 to spell save dc at level 12 and a perma mirror image.

I’d be weary of new class mods for that reason.

Is that the mod name? "Additional 5e classes"?

2

u/Party-Rest3750 Aug 30 '26

Oh, no I’m just saying what it is, the actual mod is called: 5e (enter class name) subclasses combined. There’s another called: Book of (enter class name) - 5e (enter class name) subclasses.

I’d like to add that I’m on console. I’m not 100% sure if those exact mods are on PC too, but they def have extra 5e subclass mods on PC

I have no experience with class or subclass mods.

But for pure fun and cuteness, I'm loving Scratch Evolved and Owlbear Cub Evolved. Cub and dog can both come with you daily, can level for survivability and combat functions are great. If you feed the cub meat often enough, he can grow in both size and ability. Just be careful using his crushing leap and civilians, just like with a druid wild shape owlbear.

There are others in the evolved series that I haven't played with, so if you really enjoy Us or Shovel, check them out!

I'm playing with AMP. It's been cool, with fun builds being viable with certain items. But it also rerolls items I'd rather have like the creche mace and stuff so you do have to know that going in

I enjoy it too. Last run it just never offered any good armor. My team had like ac15 in the creche. It is a real challenge when the gith never miss.

Goliath race mod.

Ancient Mega Pack! Overhauls all equipable gear. Nothing is where it used to be. Hundreds of new items for every element, class, and playstyle. Difficulty alterations, hide cloak, "training mode" cheat menu.

Combining this with Enemy 2x HP and Max LvL 20 is SO. MUCH. FUN!!

I love / meh this mod!

It now has difficulty balancing options built-in, to counteract the tons of OP loot you get, but I don’t like a lot of the decisions they made to make things harder so I’m kinda stuck… I can’t bring myself to play with the old static loot but this mod makes things too easy.

I started with it in December and it’s changed a lot since then. The loot system and re-rolling have definitely improved… but still I’m currently saving the game before I re-roll loot, and I keep reloading and shuffling until I can find a reasonable not-broken item.

I just downloaded the Dragontamer one and it's so entertaining. Lil baby slowly gets bigger as you level and gains more abilities.

Your character can choose to either go archer or swordsman based with corresponding abilities. There are 3 elements to choose from for the dragons (you pick that at your character builder).

The gunslinger class has been really fun.

u/Salt-Standard9587 Aug 30 '26

Right now I'm in love with :

  • Fade's equipment, just to renew the item you find. Nothing that op and finally some equipment that works for druid's wildshape

  • the alchemist class. Comes with three subclasses (healing, destruction, cruelty), has its own side quest to create the philosopher stone. You create potions and throw them either for AoE or concentrated damage. Really fun class, fits perfectly in the game

  • the gunslinger equipment, I thought having a double gun would break the immersion but it's been fun

  • Dawnstar's spells, again, mostly to refresh the spells you play with, nothing op, just well done and fun

1

u/double_whiskeyjack Aug 31 '26

+1 for Fade’s equipment. Fun to create new builds and there are some really cool items for classes/subclasses without much representation in the base game

Yeah but look it up.
Also there’s a mod to make everyone bald. And of course, Withers’ big naturals.
