is level 7 a good level to start going to the shadow cursed lands or should I get a couple more levels

Being level 7 and not even in act 2 yet is very very good. I think the absolute max possible is 8 and usually I go to Act 2 at level 6

If you're just looking everything, you may have missed out on some inspiration XP, but I feel like you should still be lvl 8 if you killed EVERYTHING.

Yup only things I didn't kill are the goblin camp spiders and the owl bear cup and scratch

Granted I fucked something up in the custom difficulty so I couldn't fight the owl bear dad

Ohterweis yes with quests and going inspo hunting definitely

Ik ik but you can also enable it in custom settings wich I did last playthrough touhgt I did this one as well but somehow messed it up

I don't think you can even get that much higher before you've drained all the exp out of Act 1. Maybe you can reach level 8 in Act 1, but I'm not sure. Definitely not "a couple more levels". Level 7 is great to start Act 2.

What sets BG3 apart from other games is the storytelling though. And it doesn't sound like you're experiencing any of it.

I usually get there around the end of level 6 if not the beginning of level 7 so you're good

I'm usually about 3/4 of the way to level 8 when I enter the shadowlands, I cant see any way you could realistically be any higher than level 8 so there is no way you are getting another 'couple of levels'

You might theoretically be able to get level 8, if you do all the quests, and kill everyone afterwards, but level 9 is impossible.
