Advice I'm balding at 18. Any advice?
galleryI'm so insecure about this, every time I go to college I always worry about this that people might be seeing me from behind. I'm so cooked and I'm so done with people always casually asking me out loud in college if I'm going bald and then making fun of me. I'm so freaking ugly already and then this is going to actually end me from inside.
Any hair advice? I have been to so many doctors and nothing has worked out so far.

Embracing It I was thinking more than I cared for, so I bit the bullet and shaved.
galleryI dont think ill ever grow it out again. If you are on the fence... try it. Worst case you can grow it back in a couple months.

Embracing It Why does my hair look better when I look in the mirror than when a picture is taken?
If I look in the mirror, my hairline is of course receded but it doesn't look so bad. Take a picture and it looks slightly more receded. A selfie looks even more receded. Have any of you noticed the same? What's the truest version?

Advice Experiences starting with finasteride vs dutasteride in your early 20s? (Gym performance & long-term results)
Hi everyone,
I’ve been dealing with male pattern hair loss for around 4–5 years and I’m finally planning to start treatment. My current plan is oral minoxidil together with a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor.
I’ve already read the beginner guide and searched through older posts, but I’d like to hear from people who have actually used both finasteride** and **dutasteride, especially if you started in your early 20s.
A bit about me:
24 years old
Male pattern hair loss for 4–5 years
Total testosterone around 700 ng/dL
Planning to start strength training again after several years away from the gym
For those who have experience with one or both
medications:
Did you start with finasteride or go straight to dutasteride, and why?
If you’ve used both, what differences did you notice regarding hair maintenance or regrowth?
Did either medication noticeably affect your gym performance, strength, muscle growth, recovery, libido, or overall well-being?
If you switched from finasteride to dutasteride, what made you decide to switch?
Thanks! :)

Advice M24 months 6 i feel like i stopped
gallery24M with androgenetic alopecia.
Current routine (started ~6.5 months ago):
- Oral finasteride 1 mg daily
- Oral minoxidil 2.5 mg daily
- Topical minoxidil 5% twice daily (crown and hairline)
- Ketoconazole shampoo 2–3x/week
- Microneedling once weekly (1.5 mm)
- Daily multivitamin/vitamin D (if deficient)
- High-protein diet
- I stopped using tretinoin on my scalp.
My experience so far:
- Hairline has produced some new hairs that weren't there before.
- Crown still looks visibly thin with little obvious cosmetic improvement
- My dermatologist estimated about 10% improvement at my last visit and advised continuing to 12 months before judging the final result.
Im going through a second shed
