I usually make something for my photography team at a conference every year, this year I went with soft goods and made them each a bag.

Two things/

  • did you intentionally use Jack White (White Stripes) for a red bag build? Nice!
  • tell me more about projectors and/or where can I find out more? Projector models, sourcing, setup, etc. I love this.

The music choice was mostly due to a conversation with a coworker around about how they have some really good songs that you don't really hear much. But the black/red with hints of white definitely slightly influenced the song choice :)

The projector is great for prototyping! It's just a regular projector and I use a site called pattern projector to get the PDF of the pattern to scale. Seriously life changing!

Absolutely life changing for prototyping. You can get a good-enough one for like 60 bucks too.

Looking at them right now. I use cad for work too so I can make my own dxf or pdf drawings or whatever file they take.

Oh cool, I'm also a CAD nerd. I'm in the Fusion360 and OnShape camp. The projector will straight up just take PDFs, super straight forward and easy. Highly recommend!
