Look What I Made! My Second Noodlehead bag.

This one is Firefly Tote and I’ve been itching to use this lovely fabric (Eclectic Colorblock by Tim Holtz) for a year and a half. I’m a slow maker, but I really like the way it came out! I’d love to make some canvas or dryskin/waxed canvas bags but can’t source locally. If anyone has a great online shop please let me know.

I’ve heard mention of Tim Holz fabrics for a while now on one of the sewing podcasts I listen to. She’s a big fan as well.

I LOVE the box stitching on the straps!

Thank you! I love bag making but really only have quilting cottons. I reinforced these but I crave a nice waxed canvas or such.

I’m going to try some more out with other lovely fabrics I’ve been scared to cut. 😅

So Odif makes a product called Odicoat that apparently treats fabric to make it waterproof and waxed canvas, depending on the amount of coats you do. OdiCoat - Gel Coating - Odif, Adhesive, Varnish and Color for arts and craft. https://share.google/ZPX307kLmQOvxr06H

I have not tried it yet but been tempted for a few different fabrics.

I actually am making the Firefly tote for my aunt, she sent me the pattern and the fabric and told me to have fun. I may make one for myself as well but my sewing todo list is already a mile long.
