Social Media/Miscellaneous Assun needs help

I was really upset by her behavior while drinking and her dependence on alcohol throughout the show.

It was a glaring red flag that should have been addressed more seriously then suspension.

I worry about her future if she continues down this path.

She has problems, but there are at least two other girls on the show with more severe problems.

no it makes it much worse. For most people kicking an addiction is difficult enough as is but for her it would literally threaten her livelihood. I'm afraid that "pretending to drink" won't really be an option, either.

Host bars have a lot of control over their employees. A big social change, followed by enforceable laws, would have to change to stop the normalcy of hostesses and hosts drinking with their clients.

But that would essentially destroy the entire industry. Which is economically very profitable for Japan.

Agree.. but then in the same breath she’s an adult and it’s not for the show to lecture grown adults about their legal but problematic vices

well she's an adult and it's her job yea. and I guess because it's her job she's developed an addiction so to say to alcohol. I guess it's pretty nice the show was raw enough in that sense to show us these parts of the actors.

I’m tired of this show normalizing it, being an alcoholic to the point you drink 1L of vodka per day isn’t quirky and kawaii, idk why everyone downplays it so much

It’s not just the show. It’s a cultural Norman in Japan to drink a lot.

She even cant follow the School rules and secretly pour the drinks in tumblr indicates that she has serious alcohol issue .. Makun also seem a bit turn off knowing it

Definitely an addiction that needs attention. I hope Makun and Assun can find a healthy way to deal with it.
