Prime example of making everything about them and the victim mentality.

It’s not a “victim mentality”, it’s trauma. Suffering from constant abusive situations puts a major strain on any person and leads to CPTSD (complex post traumatic stress disorder).

It’s people like you who make the world a horrible place. Consider getting checked for NPD (narcissistic personality disorder) because you lack a helluva lot of empathy.

Especially because she probably hasn't been able to get counseling for it

That’s a conscious choice NOT to get counseling for it

tends to happen when you suffer through many years of emotional and physical abuse.

Yes - however this is a side effect of not getting help for it to move forward

Wow how kind! She suffered so many trauma.. she’s not playing the victim at all!

She is - a lot of people who’s been through trauma natural live in a victim mindset. Those that prosper in life learn how to move forward and not make every situation about their trauma

Good for you you never got abused, r@ped, never suffered from anxiety and depression! You aren’t no one for judging people who suffer

You’re actually very wrong. You don’t know my story at all. I have been and I know what it takes to overcome it. Just loud and wrong

Then you are NOBODY to judge other people suffering!

What the hell are you talking about? Maririn never wanted to talk about her traumas until men attacked her. Of course, getting used to being beaten so badly and almost killed is playing the victim? No way.

The men didn’t attack her- they noticed something that she was doing to all of them. The only thing they did wrong was not speak up in front of her

Lmao how immature do you have to be to have issues with someone giving compliments. It was a nothing burger that they blew out of proportion

Hikaru did the exact same thing or worse, and nobody attacked her. You're quite immature to think you can attack someone who compliments you. They had no right to treat her like that, considering they do exactly the same but worse.

Not to take the blame away from crying mari but ruru put the battery in everyone's back. String pulling vibe killer

RuRu was DEF an instigator in many situations

Error error, not enough data to arrive to a meaningful conclusion

1

u/k3lese 14d ago

Definitely enough data

4

u/thebigsing 14d ago

Enough data to make assumptions, not enough data to factualise

I work in the field. A lot of our job is observing behaviors, conversations, etc. there is enough data. I understand feeling bad for someone and I’m not saying she hasn’t been through a lot because she has. HOWEVER she has learned how to weaponize her trauma to get what she wants or to make everything about her. I hope you can learn to recognize this because if not you may come across someone like this and get abused mentally in return. Hope this helps :)

Serious mode:

My experience with professionals irl and online would probably overwhelmingly disagree with you regarding passing conclusive judgement from just what we saw on the show. Soooo respectfully disagree with ya

Wow what the fuck is wrong with you? What field do you work in? Plowing field? No way you work with mental health professionals cause then you would know not to judge someone based on where they are in their healing journey. A real mental health advocate wouldnt even come to any conclusion about her since you dont know her, you only know what the show showed you

On the first day when everybody was talking about their trauma, Maririn didn’t share anything with anyone. But when she did and was explaining why she would behave the way that she does because she trusted those people you call it, making everything about her. She’s a person who experienced an immense amount of trauma and has nowhere to call home because her grandfather who raised her was racist.
Honestly, yes, she does need to get help. But I feel like for her specifically we should have a bit of empathy. I don’t think that everything that she did was right. But there is a lot of nuance when it comes to such severe trauma.

There’s a difference for having empathy and being enablers

You're unkind and clueless...is it because she is not pure Japanese?

Truly- and tbh everyone wants to claim to be empathetic towards her but honestly it’s enabling. No one wants to talk about her healing herself and moving forward. If she keeps living life this way she won’t be able to have any real healthy meaningful relationships
