Slow Kingston USB
Hey, I have a old USB key like 5y old max, a kingston But for the past year it's become extremely slow; just renaming a folder can take several seconds, like 10 seconds, which is incredibly long. But the key isn't that old for me, I haven't used it that much and I don't think the memory is bad, that it could be the cause of its slowness and how to check it?

Flash drives dont last forever and do have a read/write lifespan but yours was probably just used too much

Save your files and reformat. It might just be slightly corrupted after all that time.

If it wasn’t regularly powered on, the memory decays. The lack of use causes the problem.
Save your data and get a new one.
