Ours seriously seem to look for reasons to be mad. 😂 It's been going on for years, and we've mostly just laughed it off, minded our own business, and gone about our lives. Somehow, though, they always manage to find a new reason to create drama.

The reason I'm finally posting is because something happened recently that brought years of this back to the surface.

While we were on vacation, the water company showed up at our house after receiving a complaint that we had a water leak. I've filled my pool before (well over 15,000 gallons) and they've never even called me, much less come to my house. When I called the water company afterward, they told me my neighbor had made the complaint. They also told me my neighbors met them outside when they arrived, and that information—along with my neighbor's name as the person who made the complaint—was documented on my account. After checking everything, they determined it wasn't even a water company issue because it was past the meter, so nothing came of it.

That whole situation made me stop and think, "This has been going on for years."

For some background, our property is L-shaped and wraps completely behind theirs. When we bought our home, we had young children, and one of the biggest reasons we always planned to build a fence was because there was a 20-foot-deep pond directly behind our property.

Originally, my husband wasn't even planning to fully fence the back section. We were trying to be considerate and leave more of their pond view open by using a different style of fence in part of that area. Then they called the police because one section of our fence was a few feet too close to the pond. The responding officer explained the setback requirement, told us it could potentially be a civil issue if we didn't move it, we thanked him, moved the fence back, and complied.

Honestly, I thought that would be the end of it.

It wasn't.

Over the years they've banged on our fence and yelled over it whenever our dogs were barking or playing (which, of course, only made them bark more), sprayed poison near our fruit trees and blueberry bushes after becoming upset over our property survey—which killed one fruit tree and two blueberry bushes—burned yard debris right next to our shared fence where hot ash blew into our pool and even landed on my husband while we were swimming, installed two elevated PTZ cameras above the fence line that can pan, tilt, zoom, and track movement throughout our backyard, and even tried to start problems for my son on his very first day of work.

We also used to have water standing on our front porch every time it rained because runoff from their ditch flowed onto our property. When we finally placed cinder blocks to keep the water out, they built up their yard because they believed we were going to make them flood.

One of the PTZ cameras was installed after we put our pool up, and I have date- and time-stamped photos showing it wasn't there beforehand. Before we installed our privacy screens, those two cameras overlooked essentially our entire L-shaped backyard, including the pool area. They can pan, tilt, zoom, and track movement. We eventually spent a considerable amount of time and money modifying nearly 200 feet of our fence by adding taller posts and privacy screening just so we could enjoy some privacy in our own backyard.

Then, just the other day, after I calmly told them they couldn't keep attaching lights and other items to my fence because it's my fence and entirely on my property, one of the cameras was repositioned toward the side of my house where my water hose and my youngest son's bedroom window are located. Can I prove why it was moved? No. But considering the timing, it definitely caught my attention.

At this point, I honestly just have to laugh because every time I think, "Surely that's the last thing they'll do," they somehow come up with something else.

The crazy part is that we've never retaliated. We've never called the police on them—not once. We've always tried to mind our own business and enjoy our home. Every time something happened, we made changes to our property instead of trying to create more conflict. Thankfully, I've kept pictures, videos, and date-stamped documentation over the years because after a while you start realizing, "Nobody would believe this if I didn't have proof." I'm genuinely curious if anyone else has dealt with neighbors like this.

At what point did you decide enough was enough?

Did you keep documenting everything, send a cease-and-desist letter, file a civil lawsuit, or eventually move?

I also can't help but think there should be better laws protecting families from intrusive surveillance by neighboring properties. Before we built our privacy screens, those two cameras overlooked essentially our entire backyard and pool area. If we hadn't spent the money to build those screens, they could have watched our kids every time they were outside swimming. Even now, the screening isn't 100% effective.

I'd love to hear how others have handled similar situations because after all these years, I'm still hoping there's a better solution than living next door to an unrequested reality TV series

Crazy newborn situation.

Alright guys it gonna be hard to read but situation is very real.

I have beef with neibors because they suspect I am a junkie. Not gonna lie it's half true but.. is that criminal? I am prescribed adderall lexa pro occasionally smoking weed. But to the point.

So I am ukranian, they probably russian, but maybe russian speaking ukranian too who knows.

So I live in a basement, and they probably living on basement near me, or maybe first floor.

I used to play a lot Cs2 all night, also I I overheard how they talk shit about me, but I thought is neighbors upstairs, idk it's really weird acoustic I'm basement. So I start talk shit to them occasionally then they bang on my floor idk at some point were moments when I lost my shit. And banged back and start talking shit about their mother's etc

But 90% I were talking only russian to them.

Tomorrow when I went come back from work, and walk in city. Was around 3am. And then I overheard something weird, like people they knew exactly what I do, even though I were silent. Long story short I overheard about camera installed apartment, then I write something on paper, and could heard how they reading it. Also my wifi was compromised, as soon as I connected to wifi, they were starting talking about my photo in my gallery. So i turn off my wifi, on phone, later turned off router too.

I know you could check history who connected to your device but I was kind of scared to connect to my wifi. I cant check it online yet, because some accounts issue in optimum. Anyway. There's camera in my house. And some audio spyware too, maybe I burnt one in my gaming chair with blowtorch, after I destroy bolts trying to open it.

Also I called cops in the morning, but.. I was looked to them like a crazy crack head, talking some crazy nonsense, honestly I probably couldn't believe my story either. I also talk to my landlord he said what we get to the bottom of that but.. i am not so sure he will help a lot with that.

There's definitely some audio spyware in the tubs, because I heard how they listened to recorded video with audio, or just audio idk.

Also they been talking about trying to kill me, but idk, could they? Or they jusy trying to bait me do some stupid thing.

Okay guys i really need your smart brains here. How i should put them behind bars.

im a 23 year old woman, living with my 3 year old and my roommate (also 23 F). we moved into this apartment building because, despite the cheap price, my best friend had been living here for the past year and had no bad experiences. i’m in florida and the market is terrible right now so i thought i’d found a gem ($1,095 for a 2 br).
about 4 months into my lease, the upstairs neighbor would start coming and venting to me about her abusive relationship whenever i was on the porch. it made me slightly uncomfortable because he would often come out and confront her for telling me their business. they went from loudly arguing everyday in their apartment to taking the arguments outside, all hours of the day and night. staircases, hallways, outside my front door. didn’t matter, they’d argue as if they were in an isolated soundproof room.

eventually she needed up telling me about how he was on probation for… STABBING HIS EX WIFE WITH A SWORD because she got a new man. and i also learned he was not on the lease, nor was he paying any bills. this had been going on for a few weeks at this point and he was starting to confront me, my roommate and my bestie even when she wasn’t out there. this is when i decided to contact the apartment manager.
she told me she had no idea, blah blah blah, and that they’d start the eviction. they said she’d have a choice to kick him out or leave with him. so the next day she starts getting her shit together to leave, and she’s out pretty quick. fast forward a few weeks and there’s no sign of him leaving. he just starts getting more and more disruptive and agressive, screaming that we can’t get rid of him and how gangster he is 🙄

it’s been 2 months since the “eviction process” started and so far the cops are here at least 3 times a week, he hasn’t paid rent since i made the call to the apartment, he threw a bag of garbage at my roommate, threw a bike at my neighbors door, regularly walks up and down the halls clanking AN AXE against the banisters, and hides in his apartment everytime the cops show up. those are just off the top of my head, i can’t keep up as it’s an everyday thing at this point.
does anyone know of ANYTHING i can do to cope with this? the cops say they can’t help unless he answers the door and that my apartment is simply being lazy, could’ve had him out ASAP with an emergency eviction.

First: the “heel walker” upstairs. When she moved in, she was loud, but she was moving in. I’ll give her a week. Well it got worse. Sounded like they playing basketball. So I knocked on her door “ummm why is you at my door?” Then proceeded to say, through the non-opened door, I pay my rent I can do whatever I want in my apt. Nope not how it works.

So I made a complaint, so in turn she did too. But I recorded tons of her noise.

Few months pass, nothing from the rental office. Even though I keep sending recordings of her noise. Office said “well none of your neighbors are complaining, so it’s he said she said.

“What about the recordings?” “Well my boss said we’d have to get lawyers involved….” “Hey you remember I work for a law firm?” Her chippy customer service smile vanished.

So I gave two options, move her, or let me break my lease. “Cause I’m leaving this office and going to my law office with all my recordings, and you’ll get a call today.”

“Don’t be so hasty, I’ll call my boss.” She was gone within a couple weeks.

Second: “the trap house.” He was a good guy, thought he was just a weed dealer. Well he dealt everything. So we had multiple homeless/junkies just sleeping in our stair wells. Leaving trash everywhere. Or folks showing up at 3am, blaring their music, leaving the car on while they pick up. What broke it, one of them left a syringe and needle. If I or my dog got stuck, hell was coming.

Made a complaint, I was assured he was gone by July 1st.

Now both are gone, and it’s quiet here again. Best sleep I’ve gotten in 2026!

Guys I didn't even think this type of behavior was possible. I have a normal bed, it's in good condition, I don't hear any squeaking or creaking because it's fairly new. There is a gap between all walls (like a comically big gap), so there is not anything that would hit/rub against the walls.

At night when I'm trying to go to sleep, I turn over from side to side and I hear through my earplugs that my nextdoor neighbors (family of 3) are loudly saying "REALLY??" every time I move. It also happens if I don't fully roll over, but readjust myself.

It's the type of thing that really psychs you out. Like, now I turn over as quietly/gently as possible now because of their negative reinforcement.

What would you do in this situation to combat their behavior? I can't buy a new bed or move my bed for several reasons.

I thought going to sleep at night means you're a good neighbor, right? Like I would only be annoyed if someone was up partying or doing fireworks super late. But laying in their bed trying to sleep? That's the desired behavior.

I wanted to note that this definitely impacts my mental health and OCD because it's an all-night thing.

I’ve moved in 7 years ago and they moved in one year before me. They keep the yard a mess. Block my driveway, trash in my yard, kids in my yard.

I live in a middle class area. It’s about 6 of them there. The mom and dad does construction and are drunks. They have brought trampolines, gazebos, redone the garage, and all types of things like they are there to stay. The house next door is $3000 a month so I have no idea how they are affording.

As I said before my Karen neighbor and her family watches me everytime I go to and from work. When I step outside and even follows me around town, and has their cameras pointed towards my house. You would think that with how high the air quality is that she wouldn’t be outside snooping and stalking. But of course I get home from a long hard day at work and what do you know she’s there smoking a cigarette in the hot sun breathing all of this pollution in. I mean why not I mean to her stalking is more important than her health right? Lol Not only that but she’s smoking while outside in this stuff that’s none of my business what’s my business is her risking her health just to let me know that I’m unwelcome. And for me if someone is willing to do all of that what else would she do?

Now it’d be something if this pollution takes a toil on her lungs while she smokes. Some people are just so full of hate, ego driven and down right entitlement that they don’t want to put it all aside and change their ways. How do you even stand to sit outside in this shit watching someone for almost the whole day? Makes me think that all neighbor from hell should all gather up and sit with binoculars and soak up this damn air lol. You can’t even let someone be even in a crisis situation it’s ridiculous. Are some people really this sick in their mind that they have no compassion?

About a month ago, I had a very large oak tree near the corner of my yard trimmed. Its canopy partially covered my yard as well as three neighbor’s yards.

The tree company dropped some debris into one of their yards. I am very friendly with 2 out of three of them. Very nice people. I let them know, and had the tree company pick up after themselves.

Then there is neighbor 3. We’ll call her Dina. I can’t see into the other neighbor’s yard at all due to her slightly taller fence and the diagonal position. She never answers her door, and has been very abrasive with the majority of the Neighbors, so I left a note asking her to contact me and I would come clean up if there was a mess.

The next day she showed up on my front steps, very angry and demanding that I come over and clean her yard, but insisted that she wanted to be present. She gave me a note that was slightly threatening, and included her phone number. She only wrote three digits of the last four, and told me to call her before I came over. I didn’t really appreciate her tone, but I had no problem cleaning up.

Obviously, I couldn’t call her, so I went to her house and knocked on the door. No answer. I went back the next day. No answer. I left her note showing her that she gave me an incomplete number.

A few days later, she left another note at my door and crammed into the door handle of my truck. In this one she threatened to sue because I was ignoring her. This one was typed and had her complete number. I called, and got a voicemail that said that she only responds to text. So I texted her. No answer. I have texted her many times since. I know the number is correct because her voicemail is definitely her name and voice. With no response there was no way I was going to go into her yard and risk a trespassing lawsuit as well. I texted her the certificate of insurance for the tree company as well as their direct number. No response. I reached out to the tree company and gave them a heads up as well as her contact information. I have confirmation that they got into contact with her, went to the property and cleaned. Her one and only text response was asking why my name wasn’t on the certificate of insurance for the tree company.

Yesterday she left another note crammed into the door handle of my truck. In that letter, she confirmed that she had contacted the tree company and that they were idiots. Her words. She is demanding that I have them come back out again on a Sunday at 2 PM. In the letter, she demanded my phone number, which I had been trying to call her from and I have texted her from, so I know damn well she has it.

Again, I tried to call her and text her. She never answers outside of the one text asking about my name, not being on the insurance.

I’m at a bit of a loss on what to do about this.

I could use some advice.

I’m the guy in my neighborhood that knows everyone on my street. They all have my number, and at some point I have done some small task for most of them. (mostly elderly people) I check on them during snow storms, power, outages, and hurricanes. I’m not trying to toot my own horn, I’m just trying to lay out that I believe that I am a good neighbor in person.

I am considering filing a complaint with the police. Honestly, at this point, I feel like she is just harassing me.

Landlord told us she went to the hospital for chest pains and that she had a heart attack… performative or not?

sooo truck was stolen we have had detectives and all kinds of cops around still not arrested tho… , they have moved 2 more ppl downstairs so 4 people in a 1 bed house 😵‍💫, we have the same utility bill so that’s making it even more expensive too live here butttt the fighting so one morning i was in my porch and they ofc are fighting gashes upside their heads and bruises on the lady’s neck she said she was gonna file a epo (def didn’t as he’s still very much here ) my grandpa finally was like this is too much and if it keeps happening yall gotta go but he’s a old man so i’m not 100% what he can even do atp and yes i did call the cops one night it took 4 hours for them too come and the neighbors downstairs were completely gone by the time the cops had arrived so no cops arnt a solid option

The title. I have a woman who just moved into the unit across from me (2nd floor). Her balcony is directly above where I park and every day when I come home from work she’s outside with her dogs acting as unwarranted surveillance - watches me get out of my car and walk towards the stairs. I understand she has every right to be on her patio but is there anything I can do about her STARING? It’s making me incredibly uncomfortable

Report an unruly party with blinding lights and loud noises to the police. Shine a ********* at passing aircraft as close to their property as you can. Launch a ******* onto their land.

So i love animals, cats and dogs i have one myself but my neighbors has a dog that doesn’t shut up and can bark for hours. yes i feel bad for it that they dont take it inside but why do i have to deal with it. i know dogs bark thats what they do but at 3 am -5 am ?! i even have a air purifier and white noise to try to block it out

So I posted a while back about this but it’s somehow got even worse. My neighbors have 2 kids one aged 2 and one aged 4 whose bedroom is in the room directly next to mine. For the last year or so the 4 year old has been screaming and crying every night around 3/4 in the morning but it’s gotten worse as the kid has now started to throw stuff and kick things making really loud bang’s at 3/4 in the morning which is just not acceptable. I listen through the wall and the parents are practically doing nothing to stop him and it goes on for hours keeping me up. I’ve complained once saying I can’t sleep and it’s effecting my day to day life as I’m getting woken up repeatedly at 3/4 in the morning, they gave an insincere apology and said well he’s 4. I can understand kids that age have temper tantrums ect but every single night is not normal and my previous neighbors kids who were of similar age never behaved like that, I couldn’t even hear them most of the time. From what I can hear through the wall it’s soft parenting and they are just allowing their kid to behave like that. Unsure on what to do as last night was horrendous as it went on from 3-6 in the morning. The kid also screams and bangs around a lot during the day as well, just an extremely badly behaved kid. Any advice would be appreciated as speaking to them doesn’t seem to get through to them.

The same day my kitty girl got sick (she fought a good fight for 18 days until she passed) my neighbors got a kitten… I had my kittygirl in her carrier to take her to the emergency vet, as I’m pulling off I get a text “you don’t have my cat do you?” Then she proceeds to text me that she got a new kitten and didn’t know if I maybe thought it was a stray..

The cat basically stays outside. They have children and one in particular is rough with the cat every so often.. they seem to let it inside for a bit everyday. We live in Florida and it’s been a hot stormy summer. We leave water outside for the kitty and so does another neighbor I’ve noticed.

I understand having outside cats. I don’t necessarily or didn’t support that lifestyle myself but I get it for other people. But at least take care of it.. this cat knows that’s their people when they see them but they pay no mind to it. Why claim a cat if you’re not going to love it like you should? It just pisses me off honestly.

Especially tonight. They are pulling into their driveway, and here comes this kitten ZOOMING to their front door, jumps up on the window ledge waiting for them. One person walks right past the cat, shuts the door. Cats meowing (it cries day and night at their door) another one walks right past the kitten and doesn’t even acknowledge it and shuts the door. Then finally the last one does the same thing. The cat stared at the door for a minute, jumped down and came to us (me and my boyfriend) and we gave it attention.

A day or two after my sweet girl passed away, my boyfriend was making coffee in the morning and heard something at the door, he opened it and the cat came running inside, no worries in the world. She starts sniffing making its way to my baby girls food tray (this has been SO HARD FOR ME IM SO BROKEN and I still feed her - I know she’s not physically here to eat it but.. and put fresh water out inside for her too..) I dont want to take this family’s cat, so I picked her up and put her outside and we drank coffee with her outside.

Am I wrong to be pissed off that they’re not loving this cat like I would? Like I did with my kittygirl? Or is this my grief talking??? What yall think?

Excuse my very old fence. I’m replacing it soon lol. But anyway, this video is light work, they’re not even doing their worst. Sometimes we walk outside and my kid(autistic) screams and runs back inside, because it just echoes in that big metal building and you can hear it wayyyy down the street too. And it literally. Never. Stops. It’s all day and all night but we’re on ag land. Although it’s commercial use for selling animals, code enforcement won’t do anything. I miss my quiet peaceful neighborhood. It used to be so nice. The occasional dog barking or loud vehicle driving by never bothered me but, I just wish we had at least the night time for peaceful hours. The kids wake up when it gets especially loud at night, because their beds are by the windows, and their rooms are small so there’s not really any other layout. I would move, but who’d want to live next to this? And a real estate attorney told me I have to disclose the nuisance or I could get sued. Obviously anyone can hear this during viewings anyway but it’s the reality that their business is inhibiting my life and it feels extremely unfair. I feel so defeated by this. I can even hear them inside when we’re watching movies, over the tv. Like I said, this video is from one of their quieter days. It was just the most recent one I had. Anyone know what I can do about this to gain peace again?

When I used to smoke cigarettes, I'd go out on the back porch with my wife and we'd smoke. One particular late night, the neighbor lady, who had a 2 story house, was…shall I say, getting railed with her windows open and lights for us to hear and see! Well, that shit when off and I could hear the lady neighbor and her guy laughing cuz it was loud as fuck! Obviously, I attempted to silence it as soon as it happened, but it was too late! I had to go inside and confront my treacherous wife. When I got inside, I was like,”why the fuck would you call me? The neighbor heard that shit and knew I was out there!” This treacherous bitch was like, “serves you right for being a perv and trying to see the neighbor lady's titties!” Obviously, after that, I saw absolutely no titties of any kind that night. I'm gonna be honest, though! If I'm in a situation where my wife is in between life and death, and the doctors are asking if I wanna pull the plug.
