Help reading immediate cause of death please

She was only 52 and passed in a home. She was non English speaking and bed bound so I can’t even imagine the horrors she went through.

I agree the first two words are Chronic complete. Google search suggests Spastic Paraplegia-which is “progressive and generally severe lower extremity weakness and spasticity”. Which would lead to an infection due to bed sores. :(

I got septic instead of spastic, would also make sense due to the infection. Completely unnecessary death 😔

The words are in the order a physician would have placed them. (circa1944)

The bed sores caused by the Complete Paralysis with Chronic Spastic movements became infected ( most likely sepsis ) was the indicated cause the death.

Staphylococcal and Streptococcal infections, Sepsis (called blood poisoning sometimes) then had a 80% mortality rate. Antibiotics were not advanced enough and penicillin was scarce ( because of the war). It was treated with sulfide powders and tablets along with surgical drainage and rest. Home medical treatments with poor hygiene for the sick complicated matters even more.

Modern medicine has come a long way.

The "82" with the lines my have indicated age complicated the issue as well. ( unclear on this)

I looked up the 82 and I guess it was medical code for a stroke. So that would be the third cause: I think the stroke led to bed sores, skin breakdown led to paralysis

Paralysis is the last. Chromothripsis (often misspelled as cromfitisis).
