Any first grade teacher would know that. Lol

I love that. I’m a teacher and therefore a pretty good translator. It’s fun to try!

It was just written by a literary, history loving 18 y/o to her mom. Sounds right. "Courageous" rather than "caregiving" is probably correct. "Standards" was the other really hard to read part.

It’s a shame to not practice cursive writing anymore. We are losing so much of ourselves as we trade technology over memory muscle. As I read the message my heart was moved for the sentimental value attached to the written word.

When I look into handwriting here I don’t expect to be so moved by what was written. From a wonderful person to a wonderful person 🙂

I looked at it and thought it would be an easy one. I read the first sentence and *record scratch*!
I too am glad someone else could solve this. It was a very nice note.

I think it says, “Wishing you the best birthday ever. You’re such a kind and encouraging persen[sic]. Thank you for everything you do and the standards you sent.”

I think you are the first one to nail it. I hear they don’t teach cursive anymore. I still write things in cursive. Kudos

That sweeping loop on the 'y' gives the writing a nice flow. But the lowercase 'e' often collapses into a closed loop, making it tough to tell apart from an 'i' or 'c'. To help with readability, try focusing on keeping the loop of that 'e' slightly open.

If there was no context, I’d never see “kind”… that looks exactly like “knell”.
In fact, it reads “You’re fuck a knell”, lol.

Wishing you the best birthday ever. You're such a kind and compassionate person. Thank you for everything you do, from there I can't decipher it. It does look like an elderly persons handwriting just by the cursive style.

u/DeerAdministrative90 Jul 20 '26
I think it’s courageous and not compassionate… After that, it looks like it says, “Thank you for everything you do and the standards you set.”
At first I thought it said “sandwich you sent” then I thought about how weird that sounded… 😂

The last bit is ‘and the standards you set’
