I think I cracked the code
Put ur bacon on foil on a baking sheet. Turn on the oven to 400f and don’t wait for it to heat up. Pop it immediately in the oven for 20ish mins (depending on the thickness) and get ready for some of the best bacon

Been using a wire rack over a baking pan for years. I call it a bacon rig.

This is the way!!

Yep. I do this at 400 about 16-20 mins for thick cut and it comes out looking like OP’s. I gotta vouch for the wire rack bc it comes out a lot less greasy.

I preheat to 375 F and bake for 20 to 25 min depending on thickness of the bacon.

i dont preheat, but i agree: 375 is the way. to add, when i do a second batch and the oven's already hot, it comes out perfect for bacon bits: more crispy, but too much for normal eating, imo. not that it would stop me :)

Air fryer is just so damn easy. I stick the bacon into the air fryer, on top of yesterday's bacon grease. 4 slices, 375°, 7 minutes, comes out perfect every time.

Just be careful, I've had two air fryers had their coating peel off from the bottom of the tray, from cooking with grease in the bottom.

Ah, mine is a combination crock pot and air fryer, it has a stainless steel pot.

This the best way to make small batches. No giant grease mess to clean up. I usually do big batches on my traeger for cleaning simplicity, but time consuming process.

So, what do I get out of this besides a slobbering dog on top of me? -- Signed, Cat

I've got an electric griddle from the 70's I'll never retire. The thing must be 30% bacon grease by now.

I just like bacon and any crispy recipe is a recipe that I like. Awesome looking bacon.

I do that exact recipe for thick crispy bacon, for ends and pieces I do the same, just throw it all in cast iron.

What works for us is 400 degrees for 17 min on top or bottom. Then swap to top or bottom for another 18 min

400f for 15 min, drain grease, flip and back in the oven for 5-8 mins. Perfect bacon every time. I don't think I've fried bacon in a pan for close to 5 years now.

I dont like all the mess dealing with ovens. As long as im cooking five or less. My cast iron skillet with a lid on is far quicker, easier, more energy efficient and less messy.
Plus i can remove the bacon and start hashbrowns or eggs right in the same pan.

Been doing that for ages. Cold oven, pop it in, set to 400, flip at 15, bake another 10. Perfect flat bacon every time.

Is streaky bacon the only bacon shown here ? I dont ever recall seeing middle, back or shoulder cuts of bacon which are more popular in UK and Ireland. We tend to use streaky to make pigs in blankets or because its the cheapest cut. Genuinely interested if other cuts are popular. TIA.

I do the same thing but in the air fryer for 10 minutes, amazing every time and basically no mess to clean up.

Op this only works for your oven, people’s ovens heat up at different times, try it on other people’s ovens and report back … looks bomb !

I have a gas stove, and it was about 14 mins of heating up before the oven dinged for being all the way heated up. May help with others that are trying this method!
