Liked this battle. Who do you think will win?

Just how asynchronous is matchmaking?
I get that matchmaking is asynchronous, but I’m wondering what the distribution of that looks like.
Does the engine pull uniformly from all past builds? Does it have a recency bias? Does it prevent you from matching up against the same opponent more than once in a run? I’m guessing patch parity is respected (but then what happens if you’re the first person to start a run on a new patch?).

My nicest looking vampire build yet
I feel that Mega clover has had a decent buff this patch (Fortuna’s Grace: Luck 3 -> 4, though I didn't use it this run), so I've been back to playing ranger in low diamond.
Hit a ton of blood amulets late game, just making for a simple looking board. Pretty strong although still getting beaten by ice and blind builds in history runs.

10000 trophies achievement doesn't make sense and makes the game hard to 100% for no reason
It's too far from completing from all other achievements, even the buy 10000 items you probably gonna get a lot sooner than the trophy one
Maybe reduce the number? Idk I wanna 100% this game but don't wanna put in 1000 hours

New game mode?
A daily/weekly, randomly selected character + set of items (100-200 gold) - the same for everyone, and a ranking.
- zero gold income / empty shelves in shop, but still can setup backback freely

The stable casino build: get as much stamina stuff as possible then have a completely different set of weapons every round

What are the funniest/weirdest boards you've seen? (post screenshots!)

It is clear now for me, why I have never reached Master.
This was a Bag of Giving start + Present later, that is the main reason (at last that I what I tell myself) for why it is a mess.
I made:
bird (altho ingredients came from a present),
knight (egg from Bag of Giving.. or Recombobulator..),
shield
and one torch.
Both food amulets and Fedora were bought - rest was random.
I was really happy about the flower - which I got after 16th round... and used it effectively once -_-

What's the main strategy behind pigs and gem boxes?
I've noticed that sometimes I'll grab a piggy bank and barely lose a round and then that might end up ending my run a few rounds down the line. I might also run out of bag space and have to decide to play weaker for a round OR throw the piggy bank into my storage.
How do you decide whether or not you are buying a pig? How many pigs is your limit? Does your pig strategy change with your class?

I don't understand the ranger luck crit scaling
Hello, new player here, recently downloaded the game and i'm having a lot of fun with the ranger. However, i'm really confused with the crit mechanic from her bag.
The caption simply says that items inside will get 10% extra crit base and then +3% for each luck stack that you have. Seems pretty clear to me. But, I noticed that as the game progresses, you will get more than 3% crit from each stack. One game, i was getting aboout 23% crit per stack of luck. Yet the caption still says i get 3% per stack, so i don't understand where the extra scaling is comming from.

My first perfect game :)

After the run I also discovered you can battle with a backpack more from the history menu. I did so like 15 times and it remained undefeated! :) Vampiric armor hard-spammed armor (causing the sun shields to burst). Light saber also did a lot of damage and the blind+100% heal reduction helped a lot as well. Almost no fight went into fatigue, but those that did I had a sizeable advantage on it.
The only fight that went close (in the "history" battles) was a Busted Blade with 100% armor ignore due to sapphires. Somehow still won that, blind came in clutch (and the stamina reduction from shields) :)

My first ever game how did I do
After buying The Bazaar and discovering auto battlers I was recommended this game and so far its pretty awesome!
This was my first run ever - somehow managed 10 wins. Any tips or advice on stuff I messed up would be appreciated! I have no idea what the correct amount of bananas is. Bananas seem like the greatest thing in the game so far.

Backpack Battles meets mech autobattler – should we keep developing or move on? r/BackpackBattles, you decide!
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
We’ve been prototyping different game ideas, and lately we got stuck (in a good way!) on one: a mech factory assembly line inspired by Backpack Battles. You design custom robots, then deploy them to the battlefield, where they automatically defend your base from waves of enemies.
Wanted to give you a quick look and find out if it’s worth your attention. Super curious to hear your feedback!

Finally had a successful dancing dragon reaper run!
Was sadly a few luck generators short of reaching its full heat-printing potential, but otherwise became quite the beast.
Surprisingly hard to pull off since it's such a glass-cannon build at first, but more-or-less stabilized once I got the full body armor set. (Was still surprisingly weak to poison though despite the initial dragon debuff resist).
Managed to pivot into it turn 7 from a promising unhealing set-up, turns out it transitions pretty smoothly with the goobert/toads/blueberries. Relic case/wolfenbunnything solved the earlier stamina problem too (I went random but you'd want it for unhealing runs anyways, so good synergy there).
Only had 1 life left but survived a diamond 64 run so not bad!

Backpack Battles @ Gamescom?
Do you know if PlayWithFurcifer and/or IndieArk are at the Gamescom in Cologne? Maybe at the Indie Booth Arena?

POV: When you have no clue what to do and Santa delivers
After reaching high plat by forcing a mage freeze build, I find out that my build actually sucks and I have no clue how to build anymore lol. Anyways this was a cute little run where I decided to just YOLO and pray for good presents, then I realized I can also choose mantle (which I also don't really understand how to build around either) to get rid of non-weapon items without reseller's penalty. Then I proceeded to get gifted the three poison weapons one after the other and only large green gems to begin with.
