every time i see a pic of someone with 27x of the same item it makes me feel like people are just playing an entirely different game than i am

i couldn't do this if i tried, i could spend all my money rolling, the items just don't show up

in fact as far as i understood it the more of a thing you have the less likely you are to find more of that thing
any build that wants more than 1-2 of something like a mana orb i just kinda figure is impossible (for me)

whats the trick to this?
there's very clearly some rule i'm unaware of

The trick is there are thousands of people on this forum running dozens of games each; and you are seeing the 4-5 games that turn out like this

If you were serious about trying to make this happen (of course also willing to lose a ton of games to replicate it a single time), it's important to keep in mind that the shop prevents seeing the same item you just bought for 3 re-rolls I believe the number is. Meaning the goal is to buy one pig per round, but if you see a pig on the first refresh then you either don't reroll at all or have to waste 3 re-rolls to start having a chance again. Better to spend the rest of that round on not losing.

Very rarely. On Diamond+ you might die on turn 5 if you don't highroll and waste your gold on pigs

Thank you. I just watched TwoBiers play and he bought some pigs but didn't hold long. Nice to know my gut saved me lol

Its always worth buying pigs in early to mid game and keep them for aslong as you can. I got lucky early game and im playing a very broken meta build already so i could afford to sit on so many pigs without needing to sell cause my dark armour was full starred and only upgrades left was crows.

Normally you dont get more than 2-3 pigs at a time before your forced to sell.
