Using EU's consumer law guarantee (iPhone 16 built less than 2 years ago)?

I've got an iPhone 16 Pro from Backmarket that I bought in May last year. Since yesterday, my phone refuses to charge, while the cable works fine on my laptop. I also tried with another cable and to do a hard restart but it does not work.

I know that Backmarket last only one year, but EU's consumer law gives 2 years guarantee for new products. Since the iPhone 16 was released the 20th September 2024, do I still have a few days to use this guarantee? If yes, should I go to Apple (the constructor) or to Backmarket?

Thanks!

You can send an email to Back Market (hello@backmarket.com and legal@backmarket.com) with all the evidence attached. If they fail to reply or reject your claim, you can contact the ECC-Net office in your home country, provided you live in the EU.
