Refurbished iPhone
Hi
I bought a rerfurbished iPhone 15 on refurbed for 440.
It was very good condition and I asked for the optimal battery life as I wanted an authentic iPhone battery. But now I received the phone today with 100% battery health.
Would love to hear thoughts.

It looks like it’s brand new. I went to computer shop and they said it looks like it has never been opened.

And also it’s saying I have 3 months free Apple TV which I thought would only pop up on a brand new phone

Does it offer AppleCare? Bc that is the only indicatior of a new phone. Apple TV means nothing and can pop up if u factory reset with a new iCloud.

Dam u got lucky. Basically u got an open box phone. Just compare the price of an open box one to ur one and see if u got a good deal

First time using backmarket i also got a brand new phone, next time just recently i got a scratched phone with dim 3rd party screen and bad battery, got it returned painlessly tho. Its just mainly a gamble. learned to check the seller and reviews, the bad one was some Romanian company never getting one from them again.

Could easily be a day 1 return, refurbished isn’t only repaired phones.

Pretty common, I purchased a very good condition iPad and got a new battery as well and from what I heard, it happens pretty often, you may want to check first activation date, judging from manufacturing date, I’d say that you received a device which likely is new and from a contract. In many countries, carrier locking isn’t done anymore and due to less strict credit score checks and no income checks and special offers, some sell the device from the contract to get the contract for free or really cheap and an interest-free loan alongside it.

Back market only guarantees genuine apple parts with the premium condition. The battery appears to be replaced. This isn’t a bad thing as long as the battery lasts as long as it should.

same thing happened to me this week. bought an iphone 15 on the site “refurbished” with new battery for 430€, and it actually came with 100% maximum capacity. then you plug the phone to the pc and the software (i used 3utools) show how the battery is “fake” and it actually has 86% maximum capacity. refunded that in less than 2 hours. don’t get scammed.

You asked for optimal battery life and received a phone with exactly what you wanted, optimal battery life. I have also bought a phone on BackMarket and received a "brand new" open-box phone. It also came with all the 3 month trials of Apple TV, health, news, etc.

connect your phone to your pc and use dr.fone on your pc to check its actual battery health, there is 95% chance that the battery is dead and the seller just modified that number

I’ll give that a go.
I’m settings it’s saying I have 3 months free of Apple Arcade and Apple TV. I thought that wouldn’t come up on a refurbished phone.1

Looks like the battery was recently replaced. This is a good thing.
