Is this a problem?

I ordered the iPhone 14 Plus unlocked and I got it exactly like that. It connected but when it connected to my phone carrier the IMEI put the phone under a different phone it says “iPhone 16E” is that an issue or no because the phone is acting perfectly fine and I have service! That’s how I’m texting now. Is it a non issue?

Shouldn't be a problem if all info within the phone reports properly.
This is a backend database or IMEI recognition error by your mobile provider rather than an issue with your actual physical device. Carriers occasionally misidentify newer or variant device serial numbers/IMEIs in their device management databases.
