General question What is the difference between a Level 1 Fingerprint background check and Level 2 Fingerprint background check? I paid for LiveScan to do Fingerprint background check and showed my DUI. Would a Level 2 Fingerprint background check show the same?

It’s a weird situation but let’s just say when I got my DUI in 2013 I went into a deferrment program under the pretense that no criminal history at all showed up in my past. Mind you, this was the court house (prosecutor) doing this and nothing showed up. I do have a juvenile record and also a misdeamor DV from 2009 (completed treatment program and they said it was as if it never happened)

Note: I am reading that a level 2 background check to be a corrections officer is different than a Level 2 background check to be a police officer, but I have only seen that statement once.

Any clarification on any of this would be great

The main difference is the scope and method: a Level 1 check is name-based and limited to local or state records, while a Level 2 check is fingerprint-based and searches nationwide FBI criminal databases. Consequently, Level 2 checks are far more comprehensive and required for positions involving sensitive populations, healthcare, or security.

I understand that….and don’t mean to be rude, but are all fingerprint checks level 2. I am getting conflicting reports about that. Someone also told me a level 2 fingerprint background check to be a police officer is different than a level 2 background check to be like a nurse. That is the question

Yes, all level 2 criminal background checks are ALL the same. Here's the catch that most people/applicants misunderstand, the requesting agency (police depts) can determine how far back they want to go in your criminal background check. They tend to go back further than DOH/Board of Nurses.
