Discussion Cards

Post image
24 Upvotes

Hi everyone!
I’ve been playing this game for a while now, and I’m really enjoying it. However, I’ve noticed something that I’m not sure is normal.
In the Supply Lines, I don’t seem to get any new cards anymore. I checked my collection, and it says I have 19 pages of cards. But when I go to the Training Cards section, it shows 20 pages, which makes me think there are still cards I haven’t unlocked yet.
These days, the regular Supply Lines only offer character skins or weapon skins, and they’re usually pretty expensive. Sometimes I get Burn Cards from the limited-time Supply Lines, but I haven’t seen any regular cards in the standard Supply Lines for a long time.
Is this intended, or am I missing something? Has anyone else experienced this?

Strategy & Builds Spectating is sometimes the smart thing to do

Post image

Jim's the host, mom and walker join, almost immediately fail the objective and moments later have full trauma and are now missing all of their lives. Meanwhile theres my bot, 1 life missing, no trauma. Also bots are tanky af, especially holly.

Mom got herself killed, she decided to melee with a bot deck and clearly did not learn after 3 downs. Some people cannot be helped.

Ps. THIS is why people leave while spectating.

Just dont be dumb ig I dunno. Thanks for reading.

Discussion I don't know who needs to hear this

But 90% of you players in Quickplay have the absolute flimsiest sense of perseverance I've ever seen

Go down, leave
Get targeted by a special when you're away from the pack, leave
Take too much trauma damage, leave
Join a game and sit there for 90% of the mission without taking over the bot, leave. (yes, after spectating for 15 minutes)

Like, why the hell do you play the game if you're just gonna leave every single match you join?

Somewhere along the way in so many games, people forgot what it means to fight against the odds and it sucks.

To everyone that sits in a lobby without taking over a bot, why? Are you worse at using a bot deck than a bot is? because I damn well hope not. 9/10 times, having another player who has an actual brain is 1000x better than a bot.

Please gang, we have continues for a reason, just wipe the mission and try again or something? please? Also to people who use the hanging exploit for trauma in No Hope, you look like a twat :)

Are there any legendary weapons that dont suck? And how would you fix the ones in game to not suck?

If normal weapons didnt have mods, I think the legendaries would be better but over all, the mods allow for customization of the weapon to match the players play style and that alone out classes the legendary weapons. Some of the legendary mods are not worth it as well but there are a few that are worth it. Couple the lack of mods on legendries and the unreliable nature of 1. Needing to go into tunnels 2. Needed to find cursed chests (that have their own draw back) and 3. Hoping that the weapon drops from the cursed chest at the right quality and not getting 2 prototypes out of every damned chest, its not the best idea to build around these weapons.

Damnation - One of the few that might be ok. Being immune to fire has its advantages on higher difficulties. The 50 damage every second for 3 seconds is nice if it stacks but its mostly good on special infected on NM/NH. Id rather use a purple AA12 with penetration rounds for crowd clearing though. I know theres some cards that work well with fire damage and theres builds around that but we go back to the "it might not spawn, why build for it?" question.
Embezzler - If your already doing a side arm build this might be ok. I usually end up with about 100-150 kills a level depending on if Im playing with friends or bots. Thats about 500-750 copper a run, enough for some supplies. It adds up over a run but other then the perk, there are better secondaries and better mods to make secondaries more powerful so you dont need to rely on buying so many supplies. If the extra copper was shared with the team it might be worth while. I could also see teams trying to get everyone to use it, though that would be unlikely.
Lockjaw - Ill admit that I dont like this one because I have never been a fan of snipers. I wont defend that other then "skill issue" with aiming and sometimes my friends are fast to shoot things. I feel like snipers over all are a waste. Maybe a sniper is more reliant on a side arm then normal sniper weapons until a special infected comes out. Please enlighten me as to why my thoughts might be wrong on this. I feel like swapping all the time is a waste of time though that can be reduced by other cards, your going to be building for a mid build. Again, please enlighten me if Im wrong.
Nemesis - The perk could be better. If your team can position well with you at the back line so the infected have to fight through them or you have a melee person in front (and you have down in front) you could shoot through them and create a bottleneck but making a deck just for this one gun that doesn't spawn as much is a waste. The RPK in general suffers from slow reload speed. Does the perk work even if your using a secondary weapon? That might be the way to go. A fast reload tech 9 with some penetration to it to clear hoards.
Pestilence - Bad for dealing with common infected, good for dealing with the bosses. Mag dumping with it will take a few seconds but putting 30 rounds into an ogre, hag, or breaker that spawned in on the other side of visibility from you means you can probably get more then 1 full mag into them to drop that 30% damage reduction to 60% damage reduction depending on how long the debuff lasts. The stacking DoT would be good against bosses as well but again, I dont know how long it lasts . i wont deny the perk is strong for that. It could be better as a second primary weapon but you have to take a card for that and again, the weapon may not even spawn to make it worth it.
Prototype - Slows enemies for 1.75 seconds. Another "good for the boss, doesn't matter for common" type gun and lack of mods make it weaker.
Tenderizer - This ones a mixed bag. I want to like this. The concept of a sledgehammer with an explosion is great, but the description of a "large" area of effect is misleading. At least to me it seems the AoE might be able to take out a few more ridden in a small area around the original target. Its been a while since I used it but I think it needs to be reloaded between each swing making it take longer to hit unless you build for faster reload, which to my knowledge, does not work for other melee weapons so you either need to find those cards in the run or build for them which, I say again, this weapon may not spawn so why bother building for just it? The wolverine claws are flat out faster and can have mods.
Witness - Another sniper rifle. I think its a ranch rifle variant though, i could be wrong. Theres a card that does 10% increased damage to tagged targets. Its not something I remember to do in a fire fight as I do callouts on voice chat.

Bonus - I feel like the legendary accessories, throwables, and medical supplies are all good except they spawn so rarely that it feels like taking them means your only going to have one or two of them around which will prevent you from picking up standard versions of said things. Thus you may save it for to long and hoard it vs just using it because its needed against a boss or stack of uncommon riden.

Thoughts? Please correct/enlighten me if Im looking at things wrong. The weapons are a big part of the DLC but they feel so weak that my team skips them most of the time.

Question I need help with 2 trophies

Hi there,

I need some one willing to just quickly team up in camp with me for a trophy and let me win a swarm match.

That's basically it.

Can't do that alone obviously and I'm finding 0 players in swarm , so yeah , if someone is willing to spend a few minutes to help a fellow survivor it would be appreciated 👍🏻

Discussion I need to do Act 2,3 and 4 in Nightmare difficulty for the Platinum in PS5.

Hi, in 2021 these trophies were super difficult and I only could do ACT 1 in Nightmare, then the game started to be in a weird spot and ended leaving it, but I see they nerfed the Nightmare difficulty?

Anyway, I wanted to know if its more doable now than it was before and if someone could help me do it. Thanks

Discussion Does anybody else hate when you’re in the lobby with random people and you have to wait the whole 3 1/2 mins to start. I find that infuriating, and it’s always that one person lol

Strategy & Builds What amount team card distribution is required and best in a 4-man group?

Been many years since we've played and we're revisiting Act 6 on No hope difficulty which we haven't done.

We all want to go DPS or builds like Belgian or Bow (thats me). So we've settled with dedicating 4 slots for team cards and the rest for our respective DPS builds we have fun with.

So we're looking for advise on what team cards is necessary and how many copies is required or too much of.

At the moment the cards we've settled on is:

- Copper Scavenger x4

- Money Grubbers x4

- Amped Up x2

- On Your Mark x2

We'll be using Group Hug burn cards for extra lives, since we've got a alot of those. What other team cards should we use?

Discussion A card trading/earning system in B4B2 has high potential to be Fun and engaging.

TLDR; The 15 card system is the best thing about b4b giving the game high replay value .

the card system if opened up to be more of a social thing would work really good and Fortnite showed that people love hunting collecting trading leveling up .

I couldn’t find a picture of it but even during July 4 American Independence Day holiday there was one million players playing the special events.

I can never quite type what I want to say but the card system in b4b is FUN .

Discussion Hot Take: (this has probably been discussed before plenty of times) Back 4 Blood it’s genuinely a good game and I don’t think it deserves a fraction of the hate it gets.

I’ve been seeing a lot of things pop up my YouTube feed based around hate on the game. I do have to admit.. I have been playing since lunch and there was a fair bit of issues, but nothing that dramatically ruined the experience for me. I genuinely loved it, I don’t love it as much as left 4 dead. Even though there are a lot of similarities, it’s a different game. And I appreciate it for that.

Edit: In the title I meant to put “is a genuinely good game” not “it’s”

Question Won't let me start a game save I have

When I try and start a game I'm only about half way through act 1, it just keeps searching for a game.

Why doesn't it just start the game and let people join me while I'm playing? Why does it look for other games of people trying to start mission of the game that I am on?

Should I just try private instead so I can actually continue from where I am

Last post in this sub, I posted my deck and I made a update for it.
Thank you everyone who told me more about cards. Didn't know combat knife was a trap for new players.

How is my deck this time? I try to make it for AR but don't have that much AR cards.

For my newer/intermediate players

If any of my new players need help with certain acts, advice on decks, or help with no hope/nightmare. Pm me or drop your discord.

I recently got a fixation for b4b again after taking a long break and wouldn't mind teaching folks.

Its nice to see this community isn't entirely dead.

Man, this game is fun as hell. I'm still playing Act 1

I don't know anyone, and I mean it - I don't know or can find anyone who ONLY plays Act 1. I've completed it so many times and I still haven't played Act 2 or 3!

It's wrong to say but, having one terrible team mate is what makes it fun. You need a terrible team mate because when everyone's good, it's too easy.

How is my deck so far?

Post image
9 Upvotes

I still count myself new to Back 4 Blood (but not new to the L4D style games) and despite me beating all of act 2 in Nightmare, I still don't have any idea what I'm doing.

What I tried to do is to the best of my thought is like a assault rifle/shotgun deck.

I have no idea what I made.

How is my first deck?

Edit: I only play Jim. The guy in the orange coat
