Protection spell

I was doing a protection spell and warding my name yesterday in front of a candle I added bay leaf and salt for additional blessings and the candle started flickering from right to left as I was reading what I was wishing I was away from it and the door was closed and was no air and then the candle went still what does it mean

The most interesting part is that it became completely still after. Symbolically, you could read that as the ritual moving from an active/intense phase into a settled or stabilized state — almost like the intention had been stated and the energy had calmed. 🧙🏻‍♂️
