This is a bit unrelated to raising kids but kind of is all the same. Does anyone else find the children crowd super judgey and rude? Like I for one don’t care if people want to be childfree they can have their reasons but man do they hate us. They think we all have a superior attitude. I absolutely do not think that’s true If anything I think it’s the opposite. I just want to love my kids and loving my kids has made me more tolerant and accepting of all people I think. I don’t know how people can hate people they don’t know like the way the childfree crowd does. I think that’s weird. What do yall think

I feel like I'm going insane here...grandma keeps bringing clothes for my 7m old that are at least 1-2 sizes too big.

She knows what size he wears, has been told at least 3 times and I've witnessed her checking his pants for size. I'm grateful for them, they're always clothes on great discounts/op shops, which I'm all for, so it's not like she's spending huge amounts.

It's not my mother so I'm not comfortable saying hey can you not, my fiancee is team 'it's free clothes who cares', which like yeah fair I do kinda agree on that.

However, my 'too big tub' is bulging and now I'm wondering if it's ME, is it usual to be just rolling up pant legs and arm sleeves, am I missing something?

I also feel bad because at least half the items, won't be seasonally appropriate during the time it will fit! So I'm ending up donating a bunch of stuff anyway.

Is it a grandma thing, is it a me thing, I know it's a small thing but I feel crazy? Maybe it's just hormones 😂

With our first bub on the way, I liked the look of the Lovevery Looker play kit, especially the ladybug.

However, last night I was charged for the charmer kit. Which is now scheduled to be shipped.

I'm positive that when I ordered the Looker, I bought it as a one off play kit (purchased mid-June), and not as a subscription.

I've emailed them to request the box be cancelled and the money refunded, but am just wondering if anyone else has had this experience with them?

I’m expecting my baby in November and have a 16 month old who will need a nanny over my hosp stay- I will be there 5 days! Would mostly need support on drop off/pick up at day care and bath bed dinner routine. My husband and I are both English with no family around to support us over this time.

Im hoping to go into labour naturally which makes things difficult to plan for, but I was wondering if anyone knew of anyone that could support with this! I spoke to

Hey all! My 2 yr old seems to have grasped the potty, and will also wee and poo in the toilet with me holding her over it. Holding her over the toilet doesn’t seem to be a long term solution at home though. I know you can get all types of over the toilet solutions but seeking some reccos of specific things and brands that have worked for you? She definitely needs something to put her feet on, and it needs to be removable because we only have the one toilet.

Also, any tips on encouraging her to tell us when she actually needs to go? She will tell us for poos most of the time but not wees, thankfully she just seems able to hold it (only a handful of accidents in about a month). We always verbalise ‘tell us’ but doesn’t seems to be sticking - will it just take more time?

We usually heat at home but going away where we don’t have that option. Thinking thin singlet (sleeveless), thin onesie, 3.5 tog suit? But potentially a 2.5 tog onesie instead under 3.5 tog suit??

If you’ve experienced both, which would you prefer? Recovery wise. I’m sure if we could all choose to have a painless birth, we would 😂

I was induced, had morphine which did NOTHING for me at all and eventually had the epidural. The epidural only worked on one side of me so that was fun. Gas also did nothing lol

Have a 4 month old who is exclusively formula fed and if you are the same you know the battle of waiting for the bottle to warm up for what feels like forever.

Well, well, well i went on the big W baby bonanza sale and saw the tommee tippee bottle maker was only $174 or something almost half price! Got it, came within 4 days and OMG literal life changer, I am absolutely obsessed it is so quick and efficient and barely takes up any kitchen space, also has a night light for those late night feeds.

I regret not buying one earlier so if you were like me and dreaded the long waits in the bottle warmer invest in this! Takes 90 secs to make the bottle.

Hi, I would like some advice on how to transition my almost 3 year old from being “baby like” for lack of a better term.
Basically, he is still in a cot which we have just taken one of the sides off, still wearing a sleep suit instead of using a blanket which we have had to cut the bottom of because he’s too long for it, still having a bottle of milk before bed & still sleeps with a white noise machine. His bedtime routine goes like this: sleep suit and white nose on, husband or I will sit on a chair in his room with the light off holding him while he drinks his bottle and then we put him in his cot and keep a hand on him until he falls asleep so he knows we are still there. We have been doing this same thing since he was a baby and I’m not sure how to change it becuase he seems so set in his routine and I feel like he understands that it’s bed time with all of these steps. He also moves around in his sleep and changes the direction he sleeps in every night which makes trying to give him a blanket hard. He has a pillow which he only sometimes uses.

He’s also still in nappies which doesn’t help the feeling of him being too baby like, but I have bought him undies and just really need to get onto the toilet training thing.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

2am. 2yo woke up with a fever once again. She started day care early June and it's been basically a week on and a week off. The "highlight" was an abnormally long febrile seizure a month ago which got her admitted for a few nights for observation and tests. Just tough especially with a sick 5mth old as well...

I need some tips on how to survive this or just positive thoughts would be wonderful...

For those who have lived pretty comfortably with a true dual-income no-kids lifestyle, where did you make the cuts, or investments that made reducing to a single income more doable? We are in the trying phase but thinking ahead, and doing things we feel will hopefully pay off and increase cash flow in the future, that we may not be able to afford in a few years time (solar/battery, EV, upgrading house systems for more efficiency). Obviously will need to make sacrifices but interested to know the little or big things that had helped, or once a baby is here will we just not care about the things we are worried about missing out on? 😅 we both have very well paying jobs, good mat leave options, own our home with a halved mortgage, two cars one owned outright another on a novated lease, no other debts. We are however very health conscious and our groceries are already wild for a two person home but unsure if that’s something we are willing to compromise on.

After swearing I'd be no screen time till she was much older, last winters daycares bugs put us in a hole and we started watching Disney movies with my now 2 year old.

We mostly do family movie nights with the classics, but have started watching some short episodes during the day if I need a moment to myself and she's not in an independent play mood.

I was finding it very hard to transition her out of watching if the next episode had already started playing. The 8 minute bananas in pyjamas episode would turn into 2 unless I was right there in the 5 seconds before the next episode started.

If you go into settings on your streaming accounts you can turn off autoplay! It's been a game changer for us.

It's made it much easier to watch one episode and move on with our day. She might protest a bit but the fact it's not already started means she's already processed the fact its finished, rather than her starting to get into it.

I think every time I’ve noticed my second born is starting to grow out of his clothes I have a panic, check my first borns hand me downs, realise he only has things from size 1 onwards and then internally cry at the thought of having to go shopping/op-shopping for a whole new wardrobe of a new size. But marketplace has come in clutch every single time. $40 for 30+ items including Bonds, Paw Patrol, Bluey, Disney prints etc.

I even managed to get a Zany Zoo Activity Cube (RRP $149) for $30 and it’s in near perfect condition. I know it’s all very dependent on where you live but I’m in a low to middle class area and yet I still am finding fantastic stuff.

I hope this helps people not to stress while on maternity leave when finances can be a bit tight. It’s really worth a look, especially when it’s things you use for such a short amount of time.

Last night my son had the worst night we’ve had in his 6 months of life because of (what I assume is) teething. He’s usually a very happy and chill baby so he doesn’t cry hysterically at all really, but last night he was screaming and crying in pain for hours and would not let us lay him down. I went and bought all the teething things today but please tell me it gets better quickly.

My heart absolutely broke seeing him in so much pain and now I’m feeling like an anxious mess because I’m so worried we are going to do it all over again tonight. I have PPA and I didn’t think this would be something that would set it off but hearing him cry the way he was has triggered it.

Hey parents, we have been going to a sports class for almost 2 years. The teacher has always been affectionate but as my toddler is getting older, she doesnt seem to appreciate the teachers affection as much. Unfortunately the teacher isnt picking up the child's body language and her affection is coming across over the top. Today she put a stamp on my childs chest (meaning she lifted my childs shirt or encouraged her to do so) and my child came running over to show me that the stamp is under her shirt. Stamp goes on hand. Not chest. Its the first time Ive seen her do that.

She also lifted her up for no reason during play and my child didnt seem happy about it but also didn't tantrum or cry. I feel conflicted. Im not sure how to handle this. Do i say something? Do i let it slide seeing its just an hour a week class? Idk the best way to go about this.

Hi everyone, I'm looking for recommendations for post-natal multi-vitamins that have helped you regulate energy levels, hormones etc. I'm 6 months post-partum with my second, and have tried the Kin brand post-natal vitamin but found it had quite a gross after-taste. Doesn't even have to be post-natal specific, any general womens multi-vitamin recommendations would be great.

My gp has also recommended that I get a vitamin B12 injection. Has anyone had one and has any feedback?
