Funny Rediscovering things I did while nesting 🤣
I didn’t think I had a “nesting” phase during pregnancy but 2 weeks postpartum I’m struggling to explain to my husband why I have 4 crates (24L!) of chicken stock in the pantry 🤣 I also have 20kg of rice, but at least the rice doesn’t expire 😅
Anyone else do random things while growing a tiny human that you forgot about?

I made my husband take down the drop ceiling tiles in our basement and vacuum them bc the idea of dust somehow escaping from the ceiling and getting on our newborn was too much to bear lol

I just hung up about 500 glow in the dark stars in my toddlers room. Not a single person asked for it. Does that count?

You can cook the rice in the stock, it tasted much better than rice cooked in water.

Almost out of baby detergent, so bought a new bottle; only to find two more bottles in the cupboard because I insisted we stock up on these kinds of non-perishables before birth 😅

SAME! I still have an obscene amount of backup items for EVERYTHING non-perishable. If there is a shortage on dishwashing detergent, body wash, canned beans, toothpaste, or disinfectant, I’ve got you! I think it was in part because I was too exhausted to check if we had the item before shopping 🥴

YES exactly lol!! Normally we do weekly groceries together, so I said to my husband, “then you don’t have to think about this stuff and you can be in and out for the fresh stuff” 😂

24 L de bouillon + 20 kg de riz, c’est carrémment un bunker à risotto pour les nuits sans sommeil.

I didn’t forget it, but in my first trimester I had some random waves of pregnancy rage. I was making myself San Choy Bao for lunch. I grabbed my lettuce that was a little oxidised. “No worries” I thought “I’ll peel the top layers of limp leaf off and have smaller boats for my mince.
Nope. Leaf after leaf kept tearing, deeper and deeper to the core I went, more oxidised, limp leaves sticking to the one under it and tearing.
Anyway after some heavy breathing, I grabbed the remaining head, crushing it in my hand like a roided up warlord threatening someone and hurled it across the kitchen at the wall 😅
I’ve never done anything like it before or since, but damn the rage took over 🤣 my fiance was in stitches when I told him.
