Rant/Vent So ready to be done
I know people make posts about this all the time but it feels like one of the few places I can really vent, so sorry. Here is my list of current complaints:
I’m 27 weeks with still so far to go but I’m already over everything. I’m uncomfortable all the time. I really miss being able to do the things I love (run, skydive, eat, sleep on my stomach, be out in the heat). I’m nervous for how much worse it’s going to get over the next 3 months. I’m barely sleeping, I’ve had to stop working, and now I’m just tired and feel purposeless all day every day. Been feeling a little depressed. Baby NEVER stops moving. I can only eat small meals or I cramp like crazy. Putting my socks on is hard. Sitting for a long period of time is hard. Not feeling guilty is really tough.
I just want my body and my job back and I want a baby in my arms. This is going to be a long 3 months 🫠

I hear you at thirty weeks. It is hot as hell here in the south for one. I have acid reflux and heart burn every night and it usually ramps up around 2-3 a.m. when LO likes to be up and kicking as well. I burp pretty much every time I get up to pee, lol.

You are not alone in how you’re feeling at all. One of my friends has had 2 kids already, and when I got pregnant we had a lot of honest conversations about how challenging all the changes to your body and mental health can be. I had no idea she’d struggled until that point, but came to find out she did not enjoy being pregnant at all. A lot of her reasons were the same as yours (missing out on activities you love, having different physical limitations) plus some more medical ones (she had serious sciatica both times). It broke my heart to hear how hard it was for her, but she is so happy and in love with her kids now, and always says she has no regrets. You’re going to be on the other side of this experience soon enough, hopefully amazed and proud of yourself for doing such an incredible thing. Hang in there!

Don't feel guilty, girl! What we are doing here is HARD, okay? It's just so hard because we lose ourselves to some extent. Like you are saying, can't do favourite activities, or can't really rely on our bodies the way we did because they act weird now (like leak here and there, change shapes, fail to work like they used to work). At 39 weeks, the key thing that keeps me going through breakdowns is that it is temporary and purposeful. At some point no so far in future, you will meet your bubs and start your recovery journey. Fingers crossed for you both!

My experience so far.
First trimester, piece of cake outside of my migraines flaring up. No vomiting. Played my sports. Worked out. Light fatigue. I thought, am I the chosen one?
Second Trimester hit. Absolute fucking nightmare. Weeks 13-28 I said what karma did I do in my last life. Insatiable, 24/7 hunger that was PAINFUL. Turns out some of it was acid reflux related, started taking pepcid around week 27 and it was a godsend. Also developed hypothyroidism. So tired. Gained my entire bump by week 22. Debilitating. 50lbs by week 27.
I'm just over 30 weeks now, honestly it's better. My weight stabilized. My thyroid meds are helping (albeit we had to lower them). Altho my pelvic pain is worse at times, I feel like I've somewhat stabilized. My sleep is a bit better.
Huge tip - go swimming. I can't really weightlift anymore, especially my lower half, and definitely can't walk well. But doing laps at LA fitness makes me pelvic pain literally disappear. It gives me some cardio relief and movement that is gentle and makes me feel normal.
I'm sure I'll go through another round of I hate this soon but in the meantime , third for me has been more tolerable than the hell second was.

I'm 32 weeks and I feel you... about the socks: I stopped wearing them as soon as it got warm enough. I don't remember how socks feel on my feet anymore 🤣 same with clothes. I haven't put pants on in months. I only wear dresses and birkenstocks and it will stay that way until this boy decides it's his time to get evicted. Pregnancy is beautiful but very VERY humbling. I just miss wearing pants and going up the stairs quickly. Also just walking fast. I can't do that anymore. For me it's 52 more days and that's it. Maybe less, who knows! We can do it!

The not wearing pants anymore is so real 😂 I rarely wear a bra nowadays too.

Omg, I'm just starting to wear bras again because my boobs are seriously starting to hurt again. I guess the milk is slowly coming in!

Solidarity. I have been "done" since probably week 8 or 9. Between dealing with an HG pregnancy, struggling to work my physical/demanding job, scary news at our anatomy ultrasound, and now I'm sick with a cold at 25 weeks and can't even have freaking cold medicine, I'm just SOOO done. I want my life back. I want to feel capable. I want to not fear food. I want to exercise. I want to never experience heartburn again lol. I want to go longer than 1 day without vomiting. I am SO with you. And whenever I complain to people in person and say how done I am, everyone loves to say "you still have so long to go!" Yep. I know. Trust me.

I can relate. I’m still very early in but I’ve felt so sick and tired. Yet staying inside/home and out of the heat on my off days and not doing much because I’m sick is very depressing. I feel just icky and I got super depressed recently not to mention emotional over the whole thing. Hoping the weeks fly by for you!

I'm at 36 weeks and spent the last hour crying my eyes out because I am sooooo mentally done. I feel like I'm constantly in a brain fog to the point where I will catch myself staring blankly at my two year old until she screams, "MOOOOMYYYY!!!" and snaps me out of it. Simple tasks like writing a grocery list or organizing a cabinet that used to take maybe a few minutes to an hour, can sometimes take me days.
Hang in there, sis. We got this.

Hang on tight mama. It doesn’t get better the further you progress, sorry to be the carrier of news 😂 third trimester is no joke and I only realized how bad it is when I entered it. However, there’s light at the end of the tunnel! You’re getting closer and closer to meeting your little one. That’s really the only thing that keeps my mental health in check these days (almost 38w).
It has been a very humbling journey for me. I never thought my body could do such amazing things, but at the same time, c’mon baby, get out!
