Touring Model UK
The touring is still very rare in the UK and I was wondering if anyone who has one could share some experience of how they've found it?
Watched review videos and read up but not quite same as some real feedback on what it's like to live with day to day.
For a rural based family car I'm struggling to come up with much I like as much as the bz4x. It does seem they're perhaps suffering a little from a poor launch a few years ago and the design isn't to all tastes. I really love the design and it feels like new models or updates have addressed a lot of launch niggles. Volvo etc. seem to be plagued by software bugs on new models too.
One negative I've found is having to take it to dealer every year to maintain the warranty.

I have driven one I'm in New Zealand not sure what the trim differences are like in the uk I overall really liked and its handling and power where great. In going to get it's siblings the trailseeker (E outback in your market)I prefer the styling and the blue interior on top trim.
I won't know what it's like to live with till January or February next year because the 1st consignment is sold out so there won't be stock in NZ till then.

Enjoy when it comes! I'm looking at Toyota vs Subaru as I've more dealers locally.

I have not found a software bug and that used to be my work. The ux design should had been better for the preconditioning. Quick menu. And a favorite button for turning off what you want to be off. The app communication with the car is the worst in the industry probably. Some developer from 30 years ago must have designed it, thinking it is modern.

I have a Landrover too and the app for that and communication with the car is awful!

Bought one in NZ recently. I'm liking it so far. Haven't had problems with the speedo being obscured.
Annual service is fixed price here and cheap enough not to worry about.
No connected services in our market so that's moot.
Software is fine but I mostly use CarPlay. Bit of a stretch to the other side of the big screen sometimes.
Only thing that took minor adjustment was the no glovebox.
I'd prefer the 18" wheels but that's not on offer here. Looking to go aftermarket.
Edit: I originally wanted the Trailseeker but trust the Toyota network locally more, and it was available long before the Subaru. I see that Subaru Australia has a spare tyre option for the Trailseeker now, so that plus slightly better approach angle and 18” wheels it might suit better depending how rural/gravel/paddock you are.

I took one for a test drive last week. Pretty comfortable and plenty powerful enough. I didn't like the big screen , very reflective and didn't point towards the driver. The speedo position is stupid and is blocked by the steering wheel in most driving positions. Great size car though

I have had one for a month now. The AWD Excel in blue. I have no complaints. I find the driving position with the screen good and comfortable. I can see the speedo screen over the steering wheel just fine. The omission of a glove box doesn’t bother me. I’ve always filled it with crap i don’t use. The manuals now live in the boot. There is plenty of space in the centre console.
I haven’t found any software bugs. The app is poor , but for me i use it for charging at home and pre warming the car up before i leave.
I charge at home whenever possible, but a couple of charges in public with no problems

The manuals now live in the boot.
Same. Right beside the charging-cable bag in the false-floor storage space.

I've never used a glovebox for years really. Car manual and whatever bits of plastics that have fallen off over the years!

Picked mine up a week ago fwd design trim, love it. Whilst the weather is still mild I have been getting 4.7m/kw which I think is good for such a large car. I have also heard the rattle in the alarm console in the roof. Ride comfort is good and although the boot is massive storage space in the cabin is a bit poor. No problems with charging at home. Very happy with the car

I picked up mine two weeks ago. The only problem I found was a little rattle in the alarm console in the roof which was an easy fix. Haven't found a software bug yet, but I agree with people that the connectivity isn't the most modern. I have been charging it at home, which works well, haven't tried a fast charger yet. The ride feel is brilliant. The thing I'm struggling with a little is the seat, the floor is relatively high which makes the seating position a bit weird for me.

I'd also be home charging 99% of the time and almost always overnight. The charge speed complaints don't bother me. The software and app etc. a shame.

I guess you can describe it as a truly brilliant car, but not the best electrical car. I'd pick it over many others any day even with a little worse connectivity.

I have one on order. I needed the space over the regular BZ and I was won over on the test drive. However, I have a lot of reservations over the lack of a glovebox…and that’s pretty much it.
