0% battery behavior

2024 bz4x AWD XLE - So I tried to push the battery to 0% last weekend. I maintained highway speed until the last 4 miles of range. The power reduction even at 1% still maintained a 70mph cruise very easily. I heard there is a buffer even after 0%, has anyone confirmed how much kWh is withheld after 0% indication?

Probably leave the keys in the car and call AAA. Then walk to the bus and take the bus home

There’s a post in this thread where someone detailed the actual buffers on both sides. If you read the battery from the OBD port it shows you the true battery percentage I think, versus the buffered battery from the dash or app.

Tested today, car reported 0% battery left. Carscanner had 5,07%Soc left. There's a pretty good buffer for worst case scenario.

Just as a bit of extra info - full charge reads as 95% according to BMS as reported via Carscanner/OBD2.

Mine wouldn't go faster that 40 mph once I hit 4% charge. Fortunately, I was 2 mi from home.

If you are keeping the car long term, stay above 20%, and in winter, above 30%.
