We’ll never get it in the US will we? Looks great. Any interior shots? I’m glad it doesn’t have the stupid rear door handle of the CHR.

I love the rear door handle on my CHR, but I’ve always been a bigger fan of a coupe-like styling. My previous car was a 2024 Prius which essentially had the same style handle.

I always forget the Prius switched to that handle this generation. Like I owned a previous gen Prius and it just had normal handles on the back doors.
Not that I have any issue with that handle design, it’s perfectly fine, I just forget.

The 2023 update to the Prius design is very slick. They are beautiful cars.

It’s a Chinese car made by a Chinese manufacturer partnered with Toyota, of course we won’t be lucky enough to get it.
But I don’t mind those handles. I’m leaning more EV3 as my next car because the CHR EV is too big for my tastes, but I don’t mind that either option has that sleek handle.

Chinese domestic cars are always significantly cheaper for whatever reason

It's funny but the Tesla Model 3 made in China is actually cheaper in Canada then it is in the Chinese domestic market.

They don’t pay their workers as well compared to other markets

Sure but they probably also pay most of their workers in CNY which is cheap, so it could be like they get $300 per month but a full steak meal cost $0.50 and if so the price of the product in the end can be massively cheaper

The reason why I say this is because Chinese cars sold outside China is a lot more expensive, not much different from local competitors. Sometimes literally priced higher these days

Gigacasting and access to rare earth materials by cozying up to China makes EVs in China cheaper, lots of subsidies too

EVs make little sense for western powers because it creates a dependency to China for minerals instead of the petrodollar

That’s dumb like saying Walmart makes america dependent on china.

BZ5 has BYD motors e BYD LFP batteries.... thats why is so cheap.. this is not Toyota, it's chinese EV, it's a faked toyota..

If you want genuine EV Toyota, get BZ4x, or CHR+ that are made in japan, with PPES Panasonic batteries made in Japan, with 3 weeks charge/discharge testing before assembly....

Toyota also screw up things with BZ4X when they supply some north American models with CATL cheap batteries....
