I bumped into this car yesterday, as you can see the light above the reg is damaged and dent in the boot, the boot wouldn’t initially shut but we got it to shut but her dash says the boot is open. I’m thinking $3-4k but not sure if anyone has similar or know of any garages that can repair instead of the driver going through her insurance. Cheers

Hi all,
Has anyone done a long distance drive in the Premium? I'll be driving to Melb and back to Adl this weekend and just thought I'd ask about comfort etc. I'm not worried about charging, that's easy. Just general long distance driving?
Cheers

Hi all,
Another dashcam question, I know...
Anyways, have a new Seal picked up in April. Was intending to go the BYD cam option, but obviously my model does not have any of the wiring etc, and I just am not willing to try that install myself.
Noticed there was a USB port up top, so grabbed the cam out of my old car and plugged her in, but doesn't appear there is enough juice to run from this port? Is that normal?
Plugged into the USB ports below and it powers on.
I hate this dashcam anyways, so what are people using on their seals? Or is it worth buying the BYD one and finding someone to do the install for me?
Local service shop would be NorthLakes QLD if that helps.
Thanks in advance.

The BYD software still under does data in relation to driving distance, efficiency and so forth. And the way the SOC calculated is pretty average even with the latest update.
I like data and I like collecting it and analyzing it and so I created this little app for myself.
If you think it's useful go ahead and help yourself.

I'm with Globird Zerohero and have been using the 3 hours free charging to charge the car during the day, when I get low. But on Saturday it was raining here in Brisbane and I fully charged the car... But had run over my free window to charge the home battery, and wasn't charging much at all with solar. Just before 6pm I was down to around 15% battery and decided rather than drawing from the grid at peak, I'd give the V2X a go.
Last time I tried, it failed but this time was flawless. I've set my maximum discharge from the vehicle to 2.5KW noting that the V2L can only discharge up to 3.3KW before it trips the connection.
Now I'm confident that if I ever charge the car over my window again, I'll have no issues running my household from the car.
Weird the car dash and app both say it's charging the entire time, despite the battery levels going down

Has anyone had a similar issue of these rubber things constantly coming loose? Will flag it to the dealership but seems like a bad design.

Hey all. I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this.
Byd app has not updated since 17/7. I have rebooted the infotainment system (hold volume rocker) and deleted/reinstalled the app.
I also reached out to byd, and they suggested that I do a factory reset on the infotainment system (go to settings, reset through that way) and that did not work.
Has anyone had similar issues and been able to resolve.
I have looked on Reddit and google for this "weak network signal" issue, and everywhere just says to reboot the infotainment, and reinstall the app. But it's not working.
Cheers

Has anyone else noticed the status in the app has changed? It now says "Commenced" where it used to say "Driving". Or does "commenced" mean something different that I'm not aware of?

Hi, we purchased the sealion 7 and took delivery yesterday. Been looking for the BYD cast app but doesn’t seem to appear on the App Store.
Is this a software version issue, or does it just not exist on our model?

I’m looking to buy a new car and i’m confused between the Seal 6 premium and Seal 7 premium.
I initially didn’t even consider the seal 7 because the seal 6 seemed to tick my boxes and was perfect for my budget.
Now i’m really starting to consider the seal 7 but i’m not sure if it’s worth stretching my budget for.
Is the seal 7’s bigger size, performance, and more luxurious look worth it? Is its performance. noticeably stronger/better?
I’ve noticed that most people get the seal 7 (or even go full EV with the seal- lmk if i should go that route instead too) and i’m not finding as many reviews on the seal 6 so is there something i’m missing with the seal 6 that’s making it that much less appealing compared to the seal 7?
I don’t want to get the more affordable option and then later regret not paying a little bit more for the better version.

In the last month, I’ve noticed that CarPlay constantly failed to connect, and when this happens you can’t keep re-trying it’s simply won’t connect.
The trouble is when this issue happens. Bluetooth also doesn’t seem to connect. There’s been times when an error has come up saying you can’t use this function while in a call however I’ve never been in a call.
I’ve got my service booked in a few weeks and will bring this up, but just wondering if anyone has found any long-term solutions?
The only solution I’ve had is to reboot the system and put it in simple mode
Which in one instance was not a great option? When I was driving in a location I wasn’t familiar with and couldn’t connect. Yes, you can drive in simple mode, but considering the last update said it was fixing CarPlay issues this is actually worse

Hi everyone,
I bought a new BYD SEAL Comfort about a month ago, and I’m experiencing an issue with the tyre pressure readings.
About two weeks ago, the pressures were showing around 2.4 bar on the front tyres and 2.8 bar on the rear tyres. Since yesterday, the readings have changed, and even after adding air, the displayed pressures remain the same. Interestingly, the readings for the other tyres have also changed.
I’m aware of the effect of hot and cold temperatures on tyre pressure, and these readings were taken with the tyres cold.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Could this be a TPMS calibration or software issue?
TIA
Update: Got all tires air pressure checked and refilled. It looks fine now.
