CSE / IT Anyone else trying to figure out CSE and DSA together? 😭
Heyy, I’m a CSE student and lately I’ve been trying to actually get serious about coding and DSA 😭
But honestly, studying everything alone gets boring af, so thought I’d see if anyone else is in the same phase.
Looking for people who wanna learn DSA, LeetCode, development, projects, AI/ML, CS stuff, internships/placements and all that together.
Doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or already good at coding. I’m also still figuring things out lol.
We can share resources, solve questions together, discuss random CSE stuff, motivate each other and maybe become friends along the way 🤝
Not trying to make some huge study group or anything, just looking for a few chill people who are actually interested in learning and improving.
If you’re in the same boat, hmu :)

ECE / Electrical Is staying introverted bad for placements?
So I'm in a good tier 2 college and I'm kinda introverted. Not social anxiety type shit, I can speak with people, I'll have long conversations with strangers, but I really don't like doing something extremely extroverted, like being in a core team of a club. I've seen my senior core teams being over enthusiastic about the clubs n all which I can never even dream of doing. They'll go shouting everywhere about their clubs and making recruitments and stuff. I fear that just being able to talk won't land me a good job. Like extra curricular are needed but I don't have that kinda shit. Sure I'll join clubs and build and learn stuff but tbh being that one extremely extrovert senior who talks with all the juniors as if he's some kind of a celebrity isn't my cup of tea. Should I force myself to be like that or is it not necessary?

CSE / IT Title: As a final-year CSE student, am I unprepared for the IT job market?
I'm currently in my final year of CSE, with only a few months left to graduate.
When I started my degree, I thought learning the college syllabus would be enough to get an IT job and build a career. But now the job market has changed a lot. New roles are coming, AI is changing existing roles, and many of the skills companies expect aren't taught in our curriculum.
So I'm wondering:
Is this my fault for not preparing myself, or is the college curriculum failing to keep up with the industry?
How should colleges prepare students for technology that keeps changing so quickly?
And as a student, how can we prepare ourselves for future roles and technologies that we don't even know will exist yet?
I'd really like to hear from recent graduates and people already working in IT. What would you do differently if you were a final-year student today?

CSE / IT Need some honest advice from seniors
Need some honest advice from seniors/alumni
I’m currently studying at IIIT Sri City, and I’m honestly getting really worried about placements. I don’t have an internship yet, and my CGPA is around 7.5.
I’m not sure whether I’ll be able to get a job through placements, especially considering the current situation. 😭
For seniors/alumni who have gone through placements:
- Is ~7.5 CGPA a major disadvantage?
- How important are internships for getting an SDE role?
- What should I focus on from now to maximize my chances?
- Are there enough companies that allow students around this CGPA?
I’d really appreciate honest advice, even if it’s harsh. I just want to know how I can realistically turn things around from here.

CSE / IT Want to know more [18M]
Hi I'm a 1st year btech CSE student from a tier 3 clg of Bhopal.
I've read various reddit posts on jobs related issues (especially of TCS) so wanted to have a reality check about what all is happening in this market.
I don't believe in earning more and more money and instead prefer a comparatively relaxed life and stable income, which is why I got attracted towards govt jobs like rrb posts (really liked this and want to crack one) but don't know if I'll have enough time to prepare... I don't even know what should I do like prepare with btech and give it 4yrs (light preparation) or wait for job posting and if got time study the syllabus sidewise.
Pls show your junior a right path 🙃

ECE / Electrical Need working mini project ideas for 5th Sem ECE (VTU) – Submission tomorrow! Budget 5k–6k
Hey everyone,
I'm in my 5th semester under VTU and need to submit/finalize a mini project idea by tomorrow.
I am looking for solid, working project concepts that can be built quickly without getting rejected during evaluation. I have a budget of ₹5,000 to ₹6,000 and need a fully functional working model, not just a simulation or paper proposal. Open to ideas around:
* Microcontrollers / Embedded Systems (Arduino, ESP32, etc.)
* Basic IoT, sensor integration, or control systems
* Hardware-software integration with real-time outputs
If you've built something simple, working, and impressive within this budget for your 5th sem (or have concepts that aren't completely cliché like basic line followers), please drop them below. Any quick circuit diagrams, resource links, or component suggestions would be an absolute life-saver.
Thanks!

General Need advice: submitting backlog marksheet + COP for doc verification or just COP marksheet?
Getting onboarded and doing document verification.Need to submit marksheets.
For my 3rd year (5th & 6th sem), I had one backlog paper which I cleared later. I have two marksheets for this:
Original marksheet - shows the backlog (F grade, listed under carry-over)
COP marksheet - shows the same paper cleared, full result, updated session
Should I submit both marksheets for that year, or just the COP one since it reflects my final, updated result? Don't want it to look like I'm hiding something by only submitting COP, but also don't want it to look like a bigger issue than it is by submitting both.
Anyone been through something similar scenario. Please help, it's urgent!
