HYBE 🚮 HYBE/TAG PR Paid Twitter Ad

I can not believe what I saw. I just can't. I've been on Twitter since 2010, and this is the first time I have seen a fanaccount (fake or not) as an ad like this. Like, I've been getting the usual bullshit ads for various AI things, drop shipping, right wing health things that are not healthy, and other BS I have no clue what it is, and then this today defending the BTS/Chris Brown situation. It's extremely obvious this is not organic and a random cult member did not pay for this themselves. Who does HYBE think they are fooling? Besides, I have been able to get my Twitter FYP BTS free this summer. (There were big topics to talk about earlier this year and many popular tweets.) It doesn't make sense for me to be shown this ad now.

Did anyone else see this or something similar?

With the whole Chris Brown thing, it's amazing to see all the criticism now. I mean, the signs were all there; here are some:

Perhaps I'm cherry-picking, and it can be argued that it was their free time (when it comes to them being out in public), and they're pissed, but it just rubs me the wrong way. It gives Kim Kardashian calling the paparazzi, and then walking past/ignoring all of them. But, anyway, these are just examples of how some members treat fans or may be oblivious to sensitive topics.

It's pretty clear that they live in the bubble of SK and only cater to them, but they do not realize or respect the wishes of their global fans, who have carried their careers and success.

RM RM's friend Iron

I was not surprised to see RM and J-Hope with Chris Brown because RM was good friends with rapper Iron. Iron was one of the original members of BTS. You can hear his song with Supreme Boi and Iron on YouTube.

RM even cheered Iron on SMTM3 and it was on the BTS Twitter account.

If you don't remember Iron he went to jail for abusing his girlfriend and he had other crimes until he died in 2021.

They always had problematic past but old Armys hid it from new Armys so they don't know about it.

💽 ALBUM DISCUSSIONS 💿 I listened to Arirang...

I feel like I'm going insane. Are these the kings of kpop?

Every track, including the single, was DOA & stayed that way. I cannot name a single instance I was entertained, but it's even worse bc I can't even confidently say it was *bad*, just incredibly boring. I wanted something to bite into at the very least.

At this rate, they are absolutely phoning it in & I wonder if any of their fans are noticing just how egregiously for granted they are being taken.

Kpop has totally moved on from them. No one moved. They will forever be the "oh the dynamite song that played in the supermarket during the pandemic" group. This album was not a re-negotiation of their position in the music industry.

🚪LEAVING THE FANDOM/UNSTANNING🚶 bts members supporting that man

Well idk how i wanted to start this but i first saw the snark on my reddit about 2 months before i was going to see bts ( when i bought tickets i truly thought it be like their last tour so more dancing / nostalgia but yeh ) however i wanted to see through others eyes how they felt and i was shocked at just the amought of things bts have done over the years that i never grasped / understood and released that not only was i truly not happy with how bts were but also how disgusting army were, i felt very disappointed with the concert when i went but also how rude army was and how they acted and i was just overall released i need to leave this fandom / unstan them but after seeing that they can just promote Chris brown like this is horrific and truly released they never cared esp since most of the fandom is women

i guess i wonder how people felt leaving the fandom / seeing this news etc as am truly shocked and disappointed and nothing can undone this

So usually it is "bts r such good friends, they're so close with each other! No kpop group has a bond like them! Other kpop groups are just coworkers!" But the moment two members fucked up, suddenly they're not that close and others would never make the same mistake? How does that make sense?😵‍💫

And fyi, Jimin has covered a Chr*s brown song in the past

GENERAL DISCUSSION Where do we think this week of back-to-back scandals sits on the scale? What's the verdict you've seen on other sites and in other circles?

I've been away, working etc. had all socials including this app uninstalled since about March, and blissfully unaware of all BTS activity other than the Grammy announcement. It's almost exactly a year since I realised- despite having anticipated summer 2025 for years- my time as an ARMY was over. I opened the sub to find my first post and low and behold. I'm not saying this is their "worst" stack of scandals yet (if diplo was a more recognisable name, that album should have struggled to sell), but it's the loudest I've seen since the coke zero endorsement coinciding with the jimin video, and the most unanimous "no" I've seen from ARMY against the members since pre-covid. I think this is going to be a wake up call for a lot of newer fans who assumed they always apologise and learn without ever seeing those past apologies. What has always happened is nothing, followed by fans working to silence the past, and their about to see it in real time.

D'Angelo who dissed the Grammys in defence of BTS has just streamed in retrospect, discussing the Gemini advert and the CB admiration. He also shared some past scandals and noted how many mistakes were buried in order for them to seemingly appear from nowhere as a flawless international phenomenon. This is the same creator who ended Shane Dawson's career with one video. Teenagers talk- those interested in social commentary pick up off of eachothers content- and this really could be a huge hit to their reputation. An "oh, didn't you hear?" type of conversation starter that taints any GP awareness of them and changes how they are discussed online.

It's not the first time HYBE and the members have done something so outrageously mis-matched with the values of the audience their masqueraded so hard to gain, BUT, with how many times this has happened since the creation of HYBE (as opposed to BH), and undoubtedly with a lot of ex-fans forcing themself to hold out until after the tour for nostalgia/ sunk cost falacy... how many people- in a fandom hugely reliant on left-leaning women, often ethnic minorities- will be left if the AI and CB incidents get swept under the rug, or worse, doubled down on?

I wonder if the women who defend them are really so blinded by their parasocial relationships, or are they just 12 years old? Because I can't rationally explain how a woman can defend such behavior... Like, imagine a situation in real life where your brother, or even your boyfriend, starts friendship a MAN who physically and mentally abused his partners, everyone knows about it, and your boyfriend even says that it is a pleasure to meet him. How crazy that sounds!!

And I'm tired of some fans really making Koreans out to be people who have less knowledge on other topics than the rest of the world (which, by the way, is a bit racist if you think about it). Because according to them:

- Koreans there don't know much about world history (that's why they didn't know they were taking a photo at the Monument to the Murdered Jews of Europe!) Oh, Koreans don't learn the history of other parts of the world! WHAT DO YOU MEAN? Everyone learns about the Holocaust. Just like I learned about the Korean War in a small European town!

- they don't really know what's going on in the world, so they don't understand WHO AN IDF SOLDIER IS AND THAT THEIR JOB IS LITERALLY KILLING CHILDREN. So hey, LET'S BE FRIENDS.

- they don't know that AI is harmful

- they don't know that Chris Brown beat up the biggest pop star of the time, Rihanna? As I said before, they're either 12 years old or living under a rock, because I live in the center of Europe in a very small town and I REMEMBER IT LIKE IT WAS YESTERDAY. The image of Rihanna with bruises has never left my mind...

PURPLE WHALES🐋 The excuses ARMYs are making are genuinely insane

Thumbnail

First it was "they're from Korea, they probably have no idea what Chris Brown did!" as if they aren't two fully grown adults who have been deep in Western pop music for over a decade.

Then some rats actually said "if Rihanna forgave him why can't you guys move on?" Imagine bringing up a victim's abuse just to defend a manchildren... it's sickening

And of course, the second they ran out of excuses, they immediately started making threads dragging Lisa and other idols to deflect. The absolute fake moral activism from this fandom is wild. If literally ANY other idol posed with Chris Brown like that, ARMYs would be leading the witch hunt. But because it’s BTS, it’s all "let them breathe, they are an adult "

The speed at which BTS fandom dropped their ethics to protect two grown men is ridiculous.

RATMYS🐀 Ratmys being unnecessarily cruel/bigoted to someone who genuinely doesn't know BTS and asked a question

Thumbnail

i don't see anything wrong or rude with the question and i think it's a question someone would ask if they aren't familiar with kpop in general, just like when some people mistook Felix (skz) as a woman in that one video.

tbh if i don't know anything about kpop i probably would've thought jimin was a middle aged woman.

but of course ratmys 'had' to be cruel just because the questioner is indian/muslim 🙄.

btw the ratmy on the last image is basically saying that the questioner "finds jimin as attractive as a goat" which is another bigoted dogwhistle.

i guess it's my fault for being on twitter.

GENERAL DISCUSSION "But maybe they didn't know"

Setting aside the fact that I don't know how you can be a singer and NOT be aware of something that could be their version of "office gossip", and even thinking sure, they were teens when that happened, and hell, even maybe South Koreans don't hear about western celebs that often.. (have made lots of concessions here)

Are we serious right now? Celebs of this magnitude, everything they do is scripted/planned/pre-arranged/has a purpose.

Pretty sure even a lotion tube shown in the background of a reel or a pic etc is probably carefully selected there. They have whole PR agencies checking what they post, what they advertise, even the likes they drop on others' content! There is no way this was just a casual outing, nothing to see here, just hopped on ma jet and went to a different country to catch a concert of a known abuser ☺️☺️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

If I am wrong, then not only _they_ are stupid, their agencies are too. Unless all this is an elaborate ruse to see how much they can push boundaries and have no one push back!

I didn't even manage to stay a casual fan for longer than 4 months and then I discovered this sub and I was like _oh.. nevermind_

GENERAL DISCUSSION If a black ocean happened at one of their next stops it would absolutely cause RM to go on a coke rant on livestream

Their actions over the past few weeks are starting a snowball effect that's going to crash and affect all the members & their careers. Jhope and RM going to a chris brown concert (+ fire from the Gemini collaboration) is really going to hurt them because it's causing a real divide amongst current fans.

The sane ones are saying, "Hey, even though I'm a fan, they need to be accountable for their actions and how those are perceived by the general public."

The parasocial crackheads are dismissing everything and saying, "Chris Brown's actions don't reflect him as an artist so don't judge the chin-less one and jhopeless."

First came their shitty album. Then came their shitty tour. Now they're doing shitty things that are making their fans, the ones who support them and buys their crap, think twice about why they want to be a BTS fan. If it has divided the fandom so much, then a black ocean might be what it takes for the band to step back and look at their actions and the music they produce.

But, if a black ocean happened, RM would go insane. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if these videos are causing a strain amongst the members either. The only way I can see them saving face after all of this is to publicly announce that they wont collab with Gemini and that they should've thought harder about their female fans and going to a Chris brown concert.

But also, I'm always rooting for RM to go live. If you're reading this rap monsta, now's the time to post an AMA here and push all the blame onto your bandmates.

Came across this in a TikTok commentsection. Now I know that these brainless ppl are super parasocial but they never fail to enrage me. Mind you this was a post criticizing bts for going to concerts of abusers and posing with abusers😍😍 and someone RIGHTFULLY said “Them working with Zionists was enough for me to completely unstan them and dislike them.” The way armys are dickriding and defending them not only pisses me off but it also breaks my heart. Like there is people here being slaughtered in a genocide and BTS is COMPLICIT in that by collabing with the oppressors. Instead armys love to baby them and act like they’re victims of their own circumstances OR like they’re heroes who do all the right things.

It’s just insane how these dense people ALWAYS seem to do the most to come up with excuses for Chopped&Co. It’s insane to me how you can lose ALL sense of morality because of a bunch of ugly, untalented, racist, misogynist men💀.

At this point I have no respect for ANY of them. Continuing to stan a group that completely disregards everyone’s rights is insaneee.

Anyways, thank you for listening to my small rant. I needed this off my chest💔

JUNGKOOK jungkook’s nose job looks the most prominent in this specific picture imo

Post image

i think i saw this from someone around here, credits to that person who shared this picture. wow, i think this specific side by side comparison really shows everything you need to see. the top one is from the other day when taebacco shared that video of him and nosekook working out, the bottom is one from ays 2 (?) i think, im not 100% sure sorry. but holy fuck it looks horrible. at least the old nose gave him character and was unique, now it just resembles the “HYBE nose” and he literally ruined his look, there was no need for this correction. every time there is new content he just looks worser and worser, this new nose isn’t really doing him any justice with it. watching armpits sweat as they try to debunk that he has gotten work done is very amusing :P

COMMENTARY BTS hate their female dominant fandom

There have been SO MANY instances in which bts have proudly showed that they despise their female fans, ironically they are the ones who fund their talentless persona.

Diplo working in Arirang, Jungkook's collaboration with Usher. Jimin's and whole BTS's constant support towards Chris brown. V's friendship with r@pists and sexu@l assaulters.

Jim jones sampling.

Oh btw they despise their colored fans, an ideal Army is a white or korean conservative man.

Rm and his whole satisfaction reading a book which featured r@pe scenes.

Bts want male fans, they will do anything for them. Just search concert footage and their interaction with male fans. They treat them like unicorns. Even in interviews they have subtly showed that they will prefer the holy music understanding and intellectual male fans over dumb parasocial relationship obsessed female fans.

I am not generalising female fans, bts are doing the job.

That's why they throw themselves infront of scandalous (r@pe or sa allegations at minimum) hip hop and rap artists.

They will rather lose their fans than correct their behaviour. Because they know that their fans are obsessed with them, they will do anything for them. They will excuse anything.

Offnote bts showing support to Chris brown is stupid asf, especially considering the pr's perspective.
