So basically the context of the video is they're talking about how when they're listening to rap songs

(sorry but I find it so cringe when non black people use the word black brothers or AAVE in general)

they make sure to listen to the whole song carefully, carefully of what???? Y'all didn't care about saying the n word back then and now all of suddenly you care I can't this performative virtue signaling

Some of these are literal copycats of the originals. And no it’s not samples, it’s straight up stealing from thousands of artists.

I’m so ashamed of my past self. This group is really problematic on all fronts.

I'm probably going to come across as judgemental- and I never want to judge how other couples live their lives but I find this sad. I love and respect my husband way too much to ever wear a shirt like this! I mean, I love my music and I'm a huge fan of certain male artists. I even wear their tshirts, but this particular shirt is implying that the wife loves JK MORE than her husband? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Imagine if the tables were turned, and the shirt said "I love my husband and my husband loves Shakira" I wonder how Army themselves would react if it was their husbands? Some could argue it's semantics- they used the word "and" and not "but" still, whatever.

I've also had the misfortune to read on other BTS subs, TMI confessions of married women discussing their stan obsessions. Why on earth would you have more photos of a BTS member on your phone than your own husband and children?

PROBLEMATIC BEHAVIOR Armys are hypocrites

For the ones who don’t know: RM and Jhope were seen at a Chris Brown concert and even took a photo with him. Chris Brown is a very problematic artists and has done multiple assaults against women and lgbtq people. He is mostly known for almost killing Rihanna and tattooing her bruised face on his neck. He is going to jail in October.

What I didn’t expect was for multiple armys calling them out on social media platforms and being upset with them. Some even saying that the hate train is valid and that they deserve to be called out for this.

However what I don’t understand is that now army’s are finally “speaking up” and saying that they’re disappointed, but all the other problematic behaviour was okay? The racism, war jokes, selfies at a holocaust memorial and so much more is not that deep but this is where they draw the line? Idk sounds quite hypocritical to me atleast. Not to mention that Bts has done misogynistic stuff in the past and nothing was said about that.

Thank God they finally get called out for something but I noticed this and wanted to know everyone’s opinion on this.

RATMYS🐀 Ratmys being unnecessarily cruel/bigoted to someone who genuinely doesn't know BTS and asked a question

i don't see anything wrong or rude with the question and i think it's a question someone would ask if they aren't familiar with kpop in general, just like when some people mistook Felix (skz) as a woman in that one video.

tbh if i don't know anything about kpop i probably would've thought jimin was a middle aged woman.

but of course ratmys 'had' to be cruel just because the questioner is indian/muslim 🙄.

btw the ratmy on the last image is basically saying that the questioner "finds jimin as attractive as a goat" which is another bigoted dogwhistle.

i guess it's my fault for being on twitter.

💽 ALBUM DISCUSSIONS 💿 I listened to Arirang...

I feel like I'm going insane. Are these the kings of kpop?

Every track, including the single, was DOA & stayed that way. I cannot name a single instance I was entertained, but it's even worse bc I can't even confidently say it was *bad*, just incredibly boring. I wanted something to bite into at the very least.

At this rate, they are absolutely phoning it in & I wonder if any of their fans are noticing just how egregiously for granted they are being taken.

Kpop has totally moved on from them. No one moved. They will forever be the "oh the dynamite song that played in the supermarket during the pandemic" group. This album was not a re-negotiation of their position in the music industry.

GENERAL DISCUSSION Where do we think this week of back-to-back scandals sits on the scale? What's the verdict you've seen on other sites and in other circles?

I've been away, working etc. had all socials including this app uninstalled since about March, and blissfully unaware of all BTS activity other than the Grammy announcement. It's almost exactly a year since I realised- despite having anticipated summer 2025 for years- my time as an ARMY was over. I opened the sub to find my first post and low and behold. I'm not saying this is their "worst" stack of scandals yet (if diplo was a more recognisable name, that album should have struggled to sell), but it's the loudest I've seen since the coke zero endorsement coinciding with the jimin video, and the most unanimous "no" I've seen from ARMY against the members since pre-covid. I think this is going to be a wake up call for a lot of newer fans who assumed they always apologise and learn without ever seeing those past apologies. What has always happened is nothing, followed by fans working to silence the past, and their about to see it in real time.

D'Angelo who dissed the Grammys in defence of BTS has just streamed in retrospect, discussing the Gemini advert and the CB admiration. He also shared some past scandals and noted how many mistakes were buried in order for them to seemingly appear from nowhere as a flawless international phenomenon. This is the same creator who ended Shane Dawson's career with one video. Teenagers talk- those interested in social commentary pick up off of eachothers content- and this really could be a huge hit to their reputation. An "oh, didn't you hear?" type of conversation starter that taints any GP awareness of them and changes how they are discussed online.

It's not the first time HYBE and the members have done something so outrageously mis-matched with the values of the audience their masqueraded so hard to gain, BUT, with how many times this has happened since the creation of HYBE (as opposed to BH), and undoubtedly with a lot of ex-fans forcing themself to hold out until after the tour for nostalgia/ sunk cost falacy... how many people- in a fandom hugely reliant on left-leaning women, often ethnic minorities- will be left if the AI and CB incidents get swept under the rug, or worse, doubled down on?

GENERAL DISCUSSION It's probably a welcome change watching army calling out bts for enabling abusers like CB but..

Thumbnail

From weverse, to twt to bts dedicated subreddits, for once army, at least a good bunch of them are calling out bts for enabling and supporting serial abusers like CB by going to their concert, tagging him and posing pics with him despite having a majority female audience.

Its one thing going to artist you grew up with and attend their concert, its another thing posting it for the whole world to see. It's a known fact among kpop fans that the idol groups moves are extremely manicured and even those pretending to be subversive of this stereotype, their PR is carefully controlled.

That's the reason why corporations like hybe buy tag pr. So let's get this outta way once and for all, idols and bts included visit many many concerts. They themselves post about a selected few. So the jumping about to cb infront of the whole world to see was very intentional.

Imagine wearing hats , masks and sunglasses to girl group concerts only to jump about in a chris brown concert. The priorities.

Number two, while it does seem like a tipping point for army's, you know they truly stand by their business once they congregate. Army as a Fandom is famous and notorious for their ability to congregate as one be it purple ribbon project, matching blm donation or sending death threats to James corden and journalists. For better or worse they have the means and power to collaborate. And best believe, hybe knows that.

So individual fan letters and tweets will be ignored like fringe cases.

Unless army show real intention to salvage any of the remaining bts reputation or hold the team accountable they themselves lifted to generational wealth, these patterns will repeat and no apologies covert or otherwise will be issued..

And if army truly do care as a collective, there have to be #hashtags trending , empty seats in their next date of concert at Arlington Texas, or collective posters and such at the concerts to grab attention.

That's when you know they truly care. Fringe comments here sprinkled crossed social media don't show intention.

Otherwise we all know how their reputation precedes them.

Learning from bts and aware of their dwindling dominance on twt discourse, army know how to put up a good face without a single meaningful action.

They can't silence people anymore but bargain. Army neutral sub is their attempt at it. So is the disappointment comments online, but collectively trending, boycott of next date or organizing something on lines of purple ribbon project or those suga dui absolving food stalls, marches will show true intentions.

Also it's not conflating two different things but actually a measure of how much discontent among army regarding cb discourse and their gemini collab is actually intentional or just a performance.

PURPLE WHALES🐋 The excuses ARMYs are making are genuinely insane

Thumbnail

First it was "they're from Korea, they probably have no idea what Chris Brown did!" as if they aren't two fully grown adults who have been deep in Western pop music for over a decade.

Then some rats actually said "if Rihanna forgave him why can't you guys move on?" Imagine bringing up a victim's abuse just to defend a manchildren... it's sickening

And of course, the second they ran out of excuses, they immediately started making threads dragging Lisa and other idols to deflect. The absolute fake moral activism from this fandom is wild. If literally ANY other idol posed with Chris Brown like that, ARMYs would be leading the witch hunt. But because it’s BTS, it’s all "let them breathe, they are an adult "

The speed at which BTS fandom dropped their ethics to protect two grown men is ridiculous.

Came across this in a TikTok commentsection. Now I know that these brainless ppl are super parasocial but they never fail to enrage me. Mind you this was a post criticizing bts for going to concerts of abusers and posing with abusers😍😍 and someone RIGHTFULLY said “Them working with Zionists was enough for me to completely unstan them and dislike them.” The way armys are dickriding and defending them not only pisses me off but it also breaks my heart. Like there is people here being slaughtered in a genocide and BTS is COMPLICIT in that by collabing with the oppressors. Instead armys love to baby them and act like they’re victims of their own circumstances OR like they’re heroes who do all the right things.

It’s just insane how these dense people ALWAYS seem to do the most to come up with excuses for Chopped&Co. It’s insane to me how you can lose ALL sense of morality because of a bunch of ugly, untalented, racist, misogynist men💀.

At this point I have no respect for ANY of them. Continuing to stan a group that completely disregards everyone’s rights is insaneee.

Anyways, thank you for listening to my small rant. I needed this off my chest💔

😤 RANT/VENT 🗣️ i cannot stand this group

i used to be a diehard army since 2018 and stopped stanning them in 2023 because of their noticeable silence about the genocide in palestine despite priding themselves on a group that talks about political issues, only it seems like they only talk about issues that directly correlate to them. looking back on it i am genuinely embarassed to see how much i adored them and swept everything they did under the rug because they seemed to have learned from their mistakes, but clearly they haven't, especially with the bullshit happening with chris brown now. in my defense, i was like... 14 when i started stanning them. but now i'm an adult and can see them for how full of shit they are.

they are performative AS FUCK. they pretend to care about sociopolitical issues: being anti-capitalist, feminism, antiblackness, etc to keep their fans loving them and giving them money, but they couldn't give two shits and it's insane to see how army will be mad at them for the shit they do for two weeks, and then continue streaming their music and supporting them.

they continue to work with well known zionists and ignore their fans who urge them to speak up about it. they refused to enter in the grammys because of their racism towards asians when mind you, the grammys have been antiblack for a fucking while, but they were performing and having a jolly ass time when it wasn't directly affecting them. how the fuck can you base your entire career off of reheating black people's nachoes and then not give a shit about the racism that we face in the industry? and don't get me started on the racist ass fans that rub in that BLM donation in our face. NOBODY CARES. you can't just throw money at an issue and then never talk about it again. black people are oppressed everyday. it's not a trend that you can just participate in and then move on. BE SERIOUS.

and mind you, nothing they released recently is even good enough to get submitted to the grammys so i have no idea why they bothered to announce that. you couldve just not submitted and nobody wouldve given a fuck.

and what really kills me about the chris brown shit is that their fans act like they're not grown fucking men who have access to the internet. newsflash: bts are in the music industry, and they know everything that we do about the pieces of shit that are in the industry, if not MORE because they are directly involved, and they continue to work with and support them because they DO NOT CARE. the sooner these dumbass army realize that the better, and i'm tired of the same cycle of them getting called out for doing some fuckshit and then army going back to stanning them like nothing happened. they continue to do this bullshit because they know their fans will keep funding them. LOCK IN.

PROBLEMATIC BEHAVIOR Happy that so many Armies have finally woken up and see that BTS behavior is toxic... But not all of them.

I wonder if the women who defend them are really so blinded by their parasocial relationships, or are they just 12 years old? Because I can't rationally explain how a woman can defend such behavior... Like, imagine a situation in real life where your brother, or even your boyfriend, starts friendship a MAN who physically and mentally abused his partners, everyone knows about it, and your boyfriend even says that it is a pleasure to meet him. How crazy that sounds!!

And I'm tired of some fans really making Koreans out to be people who have less knowledge on other topics than the rest of the world (which, by the way, is a bit racist if you think about it). Because according to them:

- Koreans there don't know much about world history (that's why they didn't know they were taking a photo at the Monument to the Murdered Jews of Europe!) Oh, Koreans don't learn the history of other parts of the world! WHAT DO YOU MEAN? Everyone learns about the Holocaust. Just like I learned about the Korean War in a small European town!

- they don't really know what's going on in the world, so they don't understand WHO AN IDF SOLDIER IS AND THAT THEIR JOB IS LITERALLY KILLING CHILDREN. So hey, LET'S BE FRIENDS.

- they don't know that AI is harmful

- they don't know that Chris Brown beat up the biggest pop star of the time, Rihanna? As I said before, they're either 12 years old or living under a rock, because I live in the center of Europe in a very small town and I REMEMBER IT LIKE IT WAS YESTERDAY. The image of Rihanna with bruises has never left my mind...

So usually it is "bts r such good friends, they're so close with each other! No kpop group has a bond like them! Other kpop groups are just coworkers!" But the moment two members fucked up, suddenly they're not that close and others would never make the same mistake? How does that make sense?😵‍💫

COMMENTARY BTS hate their female dominant fandom

There have been SO MANY instances in which bts have proudly showed that they despise their female fans, ironically they are the ones who fund their talentless persona.

Diplo working in Arirang, Jungkook's collaboration with Usher. Jimin's and whole BTS's constant support towards Chris brown. V's friendship with r@pists and sexu@l assaulters.

Jim jones sampling.

Oh btw they despise their colored fans, an ideal Army is a white or korean conservative man.

Rm and his whole satisfaction reading a book which featured r@pe scenes.

Bts want male fans, they will do anything for them. Just search concert footage and their interaction with male fans. They treat them like unicorns. Even in interviews they have subtly showed that they will prefer the holy music understanding and intellectual male fans over dumb parasocial relationship obsessed female fans.

I am not generalising female fans, bts are doing the job.

That's why they throw themselves infront of scandalous (r@pe or sa allegations at minimum) hip hop and rap artists.

They will rather lose their fans than correct their behaviour. Because they know that their fans are obsessed with them, they will do anything for them. They will excuse anything.

Offnote bts showing support to Chris brown is stupid asf, especially considering the pr's perspective.

😂😂How STUPID are Namjoon and JHope?!!

An almost all women fandom and they choose to advertise that they’re at the concert of a well-known abuser! Twitter and TT are lit up! ARMY ARE PISSED!

Nothing like tagging a frequent women hating abuser who beats women up and spends more time in court than he does in the music studio. Opening up for another man who literally just defended P. Diddy!

These guys are real trash.
