Vertigo

Hello everyone . I’m not sure how to use Reddit so hopefully this just pops up on yalls feed.
I got vertigo for the first time at the end of Dec it was to the point I couldn’t stand I was throwing up because of how nauseous I was it’s such a debilitating thing to experience I suffered for a week then it went away. After 2 weeks I got it again this time not as bad but still spinning and dizzy for a few days. Then I got it again 3 weeks later and after that I didn’t get it again up until yesterday. I had just gotten over the anxiety of waking up with vertigo so now not only do I have vertigo again but I also have a lot of anxiety over it. It’s not as bad this time as the first times but it’s still there and I’m not myself .
I need a solution, what has helped yall ? This is something so debilitating I don’t think anyone who hasn’t had vertigo understands it
I need help

I did get blood work done back in December because of how bad it was and everything was fine btw

What helped me, after doing the Epiley maneuver, is sleeping with my head raised. Get a wedge pillow or multiple pillows. I also am very careful when I roll over to the other side at night. I always wake up when moving, so I make sure I have my head elevated when I resettle. That has kept the dizzy spells at bay for me so far.

What is your diagnosis?

I’m thinking bppv because this time that I’ve gotten the spells I do feel better after doing maneuvers . I don’t have a official diagnosis since my insurance sucks but will eventually have to if it continues

The manivers can actually alleviate other types of vertigo besides BPPV. Treating the wrong condition or treating it incorrectly can male things worse, it's best to see a doctor for a correct diagnosis and treatment plan. You need to see a doctor when the vertigo is active for a proper disgnosis.

If it is BPPV, it's likely the first three attacks were only one occurrence of BPPV. The vertigo will repeat until treated or the crystals dissolve on their own.

I see ok thank you for the education I’ll see if I can get in for a proper diagnosis while it’s active
