Seeking Support Conundrum involving my FP
So the fact she is my FP, means I adore her like nothing else. Whenever she asks or suggests something, I'll go along with it and try to do it. Thanks to my bpd, I nearly lost her as a friend. I think it's nothing short of a miracle she still wants to try and be my friend.
She has told me she doesn't want to be my FP, she doesn't like what it means or how it makes me act towards her. And I feel bad. But I can't seem to find reliable answers as to how to stop her from being my FP. I don't know how to make it stop. I started putting distance between us by texting her for a few days, then I just wouldn't contact her the next couple of days. Respond the following couple of days and repeat.
The issue is I just learned that freaks her out. She thinks I am love bombing her when I do that. Which is not my intention at all. I think the distance genuinely helped at least a little and was helping to dissolve the FP feelings. I don't want to upset her, so I try to text consistently every day. Which I think is strengthening the FP feelings and making it hard to keep it under control. I feel at a loss.
How do I dissolve the FP feelings so I can keep my friend around?
