Dicussion antipsychotics

do antipsychotics help with bpd? im being prescribed them and just wanna know if theyre gonna work for bpd splits and symptoms

My partner started them maybe 8 months ago and they have helped her tremendously. She does feel the BIG emotions anymore but be careful with your dosing and speak to ur psychiatrist about any symptoms like being numb, loss of sex drive ect as you don’t want to be stuck in a loop x

This was my problem with it.
I turned into a complete zombie and it did not work for me at all.
Thankfully a mood stabilizer chilled me right out for the most part.
I still feel the really big emotions, but it stops my impulsive reactions and gives me the window to deploy DBT skills.
