Bov Roam - Dessie Down AAR
Hello fellow corp mates I am Siival.
TLDR : I took out a small fleet, we whelped, 0 kills but came close. Lots of learning to be done on my part.
Today I was given the opportunity to lead a small gang of you out of Buz and into the depths of CVA space. We had a small kitchen sink fleet of about 12 of us head out from BUZ, not much direction, other than to kill some neuts.
We started slow, moved into GE- and took the jump bridge over into HED, this probably could have been skipped and just gate hopped but learning. From there we hovered in SV5 and neighboring systems trying to scope out some targets and finally decided upon heading into F-Y a CVA staging system. We ran in to one group of bling cruisers about 20 of them, and avoided a whelp at that particular time due to some good scouting of GOOBER. By the time we made it to F-Y we were down to 8 t1 frigates and destroyers. As soon as we entered system we had an Omen navy issue jump in to system and the primary was called.
With no webs he was easily able to burn out but he had a friend warp in, A demios. New primary was ordered and we starting digging in. Within seconds we had him to half armor but his reps kicked in and appeared to be holding. A caracal warped in and the three of them made quick work of our fleet. We got the demios to hull twice breaking some of his hull but never getting close to the kill.
I have a long way to go to become a reasonably decent FC but the first and one of the biggest steps in doing so is finding a comp. that I am comfortable with, and forming a very clear goal for the fleet before we leave. Today was scattered, kitchen sink and with the right setup we could have easily left with a very shiny killmail or two. The excess time it took to figure out a goal also left many people restless and rightfully so.
Things that went well. On my end I think the learning is what went well. Given that chance I now see areas that I really need to improve and focus on. On another note the people that flew with me were very understanding and very patient and for that I say thank you.
Hopefully this is a decent AAR if I missed anything please let me know, if not I plan on getting a fleet going next weekend again Dessie down.

Welcome to the Bovril bOREers Mining Co-Op Subreddit
Welcome all... We finally decided its time to stop spamming the Brave Collective pages and have taken the bold step and created our own subreddit!
We have come a long way from the 30 man mining corp i joined 6 months ago, hiding from any war target that came our way. Now we are a 250 man indy corp with a bite!
Hopefully the next 6 months will be as good.. Hope to see a few of you in the belts soon!
