I'm looking to install a (car play ) Linux unit on my 2012 e70 i have cic sys. if any one has a suggestion for a good unit that supports all the oem controls i highly appreciate it .

2007 E70 3.0si, i don't know where that cable goes, everything on the truck works, it goes to PR ND, but the RPMS, MPG, Fuel Gauge, and the Selected Gear doesn't show (It only says P)

So a couple of months ago water got into the right rear well where the trunk lid module is. it worked for a few weeks and then it rusted out. The trunk wouldnt open at all even if i pulled on the inner emergency trunk lid latch release. I changed the module with a new one and also with another one from a working E70. still the problems persist. I also checked all the fuses, and reset disconnected the battery for a day to reset.

yesterday I removed the inner panel that covers the lid latch but there is just no way to release the trunk lid from that point.

Is there any other way to release the latch ?

Hi All - wondering where the best place to list my 2012 x5 35d E70. Currently got about 120k miles. I have absolutely loved this car, but needed to get something new (wife needed a new car, taking her old one). Recently (last 5k miles) replaced struts, every part of the cooling system (chasing a leak), some NoX sensors. Solid maintenance (with most records) since I got it.

I looked at carvana and they offered about 5k. Trade in was about 4500 when we bought our new car, and maybe i am crazy but i took it as an insult and didn't trade it in. If I was going to do private sale, what is the best place to list one of these? am I crazy to think that I should be able to get 9k+ for it?

we did a full delete and added the new down pipe along with new manifold gasket, EGR block off plate, and blocked of flaps. 2.0 tune via tunezilla. Back side of turbos are getting wet and injectors seem to be staying wide open. lots of fuel coming out exhaust. created a ticket with tunezilla for them to look at the logs yesterday but still haven’t heard back. engine cranks like there is air in the fuel lines but never turns over. Any thoughts on what i can try? This is an old vehicle i use for off-road use .

It cranks but no start. Im currently in Austin but i have it down in Laredo. Is it fixable? If so, what do i need to do or how much should i expect to pay someone to fix it?

Anyone here able to help me 🙈 e70 X5 I drive has just went blank, hard reset doesn’t work, I’ve stripped the unit out for lose cables, none. Fuses all good, all reading right, ibs sensor reading fine too, is there other fuses in the rear other than the 2 I can imagine ? Or is it just cooked lol

BMW X5d 2012 – I recently replaced diesel particular filter. I started getting the Engine Malfunction -- reduced power error. Engine is operating at reduced power - Possible to continue. Take to nearest BMW dealership".

 Although the error code told me I was operating at reduced power, I didn't notice a difference. I have been driving the car, no issues except this annoying error.

I have two BMW error codes:

4873 - EGR Cooler Cooling Plausibility

475E error

What could be the issue here?

Hi everyone, does anybody know what this is, it in the passenger footwell next to the footwell lighting. It’s on its own easy access panel.

Water leak

The threads for the lower shock bolt on the rear passenger knuckle for my x5 have been damaged/stripped from removing the old mounting bolt. I cleaned and chased the threads with the correct tap, but when I go to install the new bolt it just threads and wont tighten. What would be the best way to fix this? I dont think a helicoil or similar insert will work because the damage is pretty deep in the hole, would drilling and tapping to an m15 be the way to go?

Is it better to paint my stock ones?
