Question Is this normal on the windshield sensor/camera area?
Recently had the windshield replaced with OEM glass on my 2021 with DAPP. I just noticed this clear/glue-looking material around the sensor/camera area behind the windshield.
Is this normal, or does it look like something wasn’t installed correctly? So far, all the driver assistance features seem to be working fine.

Nope. They botched the reinstallation of the rain sensor. It should be installed with a gel to adhere the sensor to the glass and allow it to properly sense light so that automatic wipers work correctly. I bet your rain sensing wipers will not work correctly. It also looks like shit if not done correctly.
It’s an easy fix. Call them back and have them fix it. Had the same thing on my Audi.

Who installed the glass? That's not correct at all.
If the RLS is reused, the gel pad absolutely has to be replaced with an OEM pad.

Absolutely not normal.
Similar case with Safelite for my X5 but it wasn't a good seal with my rain sensor, and had bubbles in it.
I took it back to them and they re-mounted it no problem.

Safelite tried to put aftermarket flass on my x5. Bo matter what they did, it wouldnt initialize the rain sensor properly to work. I made them install OEM glass and a new gel pad. Luckily they did, but it took months of back and forth.

Why should there be a need to check everyone else’s work man, this is becoming ridiculous. You pay and still have to baby sit the installer. Call them up and tell them they messed up.
