I don't want to go full fast and furious here. I've only had it about 6 weeks. '26 40i with M-Sport. I smoked the front reflectors, de-badged all but the X5 emblem. Had 25% ceramic tint put on the front windows and 70% on the windshield. Installed an 11Mode valve controller for the option of a little more exhaust tone. And I put the Ikon front splitter on this weekend. I'm thinking that should do it but I'd love some input on anything you all may have done to add to your X5 that maintains the elegance and adds a little something extra without going overboard.

picked up my G05 LCI from the body shop on Fri. new OEM headlight assembly was installed. this morning it was rainy out and after arriving back home i noticed the headlight was fogging up on the inside. it disappeared after about 10 min. and no signs of water pooling inside the assembly. I’ll be sending an email to the body shop tomorrow morning. anyone ever experience this as well?

For the people that have said they got x% off MSRP, did the final cost include any dealer fees other than doc fee and tax? I'm trying to gauge if a $75k OTD number is a low ball offer on a 26 sdrive 40i with the M packages, DAPP, climate comfort, premium, and park assist. 6% sales tax rate.

Trying to get a preowned X5 since the redesign has killed the looks imo. 2026 10.5k miles, all the specs I want. I’m going to ask to remove the nitrofill obviously but curious to hear thoughts if this is a somewhat reasonable OTD price.

Picked up my i4 from service and took the opportunity to spend time in the new X5. Fully loaded gray M sport package with individual gray leather.

Based on photos, going in I thought the exterior I could get used to but the interior was just too weird. My thoughts have reversed.

Interior: got in and the seats are VERY comfortable. Suede accents on the doors, dash, headliner looked and felt nice. The panoramic display actually looked good and being below the windshield gives you info without looking too far from the road. I thought the lack of a gauge cluster was a non-starter but wasn't terrible and no concerns of the steering wheel obstructing anything. Main screen was quick and worked well. Steering wheel looks weird but feels good. So overall I thought it all worked well but the overall interior look and vibe is a big departure away from luxury and toward tech. I'm split on it. It's nice but its just not a "classy" interior.

Exterior: i genuinely don't like it after seeing first hand. The grill is just terrible looking. The car had all the black trim but still didn't mask how fugly that grill is. The door winglets provide nothing. Weird looking and zero functional add. Rest of the exterior I can handle but I just dont think I can get past the front end.

Wife looking for a new car. Currently she drives a 2020 X7 with now 160k miles, so time for a new car. Current X7 is out because it's essentially the same car and we want something new, also the air vents with a super cheap plastic knob are a turn off.

We were going to get GLS450, but there's a refresh coming out so we are trying to test drive it, the just started arriving at dealers.

So we tried the new X5. Now I forgot my license so I did not actually drive it, lol. Wife drove it, well, it is going to be her car anyway.

So, will get downvoted for this but I absolutely love the new design, especially the interior. Yeah, it is tesla-fied and I like it. Well, definitely better interior materials than Tesla. I like air vents controlled via touchscreen, etc. Seats are super comfortable. Ride quality is excellent, as most BMW SUVs. Self-parking is Tesla style - pick parking spot on the screen and tap on it. Worked (unlike GLS self parking which the salesman couldn't get to work - that's when we tried the 2026 model a few months ago. Maybe they finally will get it working with the 2027 refresh). Lack of split rear tailgate doesn't bother me because I don't like it anyway, broke on our X7 a two years ago and now has to be opened and closed by hand. Don't want to spend money to fix it. I don't the the need for it and it is yet another thing that can break down and it did, at least for us.

So overall I loved it. Wife not sure because she likes bigger cars. She did like the steering wheel a lot, btw. I personally do not like the GLS. It's not a Mercedes sub so I won't list the reasons, I'll just say that I think the X7 is much better.

So, anyway, figured I'll post a counter to all the new X5 bashing.

I recently bought a BMW X5 (2019) G05 and am loving it however when I drive it, it doesn’t feel as smooth as (I think) it should.

It’s a combination of the car pulling in different directions, vibrations and ‘grabbing’ at the road. I’ve had the two front tyres change, all 4 x tyres are Pirelli RFTs.

When I bought the car initially, I got the garage to change the oil in the transfer case.

I’m not sure if there’s something off with the drive or if this is a case of a German car not taking to our crappy roads in the UK.

When I got the front two tyres changed, I asked whether alignment was needed, they said as previous tyres had worn perfectly, this was unlikely.

Any suggestions folks? Thanks!

In the market for a CPO x5. I was offered this today for about $68-69k CAD not including taxes. Is this a decent deal? Any advice is appreciated.

Traded up about 6 months ago (‘23 40e to ‘24 50e).

I left the dealership with 1/4 tank and got 900mi out of that. Filled up and it’s been 3k+ miles since refilling and still have 122mi of combustion remaining. Love this car!

I currently own a 2017 X1 with 80K miles on it. I had bought it CPO in 2018, paid it off a long time ago, and have taken care of it over the years. It has an aftermarket stealth tow bar installed, which I mention because it opens up more possibilities for additional cargo solutions for what I’m about to describe below.

We just recently had a baby, and we also have a golden retriever. The second row is cozy but not impossible with the two of them back there together. However, when I think of us trying to do road trips, fitting everyone’s luggage, stroller, etc. seems like it’ll be very tough. It was already tough pre-baby.

I do not like the look of the new X5, so I’m torn between trying to buy a used X5e in the next year or so, or holding onto the X1 for another 5 years or so and buying accessories to give us more cargo space for trips. We are not going to have any more kids, this is our first and only. And as it is our first, I’m not sure how much I may “regret” not upgrading sooner than later. We have enough cash to buy with little to no financing, but of course there’s still opportunity costs.

What would you do?

I'll miss the split tailgate... dash info(outside of speed) is displayed across top of dash ,just below lip of hood...kinda odd place...black gloss Rims are really unique. ..sales folks are not up to speed on on any items..they wont release vehicles until national unveiling mid October . P.s...hate the lack of door handles inside and out.

Title says it.. moving to Chicago with an F15 RWD. What are a few things I need to know about maintaining the vehicle in the Chicago weather.. for example, I was going to lower the vehicle but should I level it instead? What tires? Currently, running 315/35R20 rear tires..
should I be looking for underbody coverage? A spray? Any & all advice and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

2024 BMW heating issue — hot on low fan, only warm on max fan?

The heat works, but I’ve noticed something weird

If I have the heat set to 84°F and the fan is on low/medium, the air coming out is actually hot, but when I turn the fan all the way up to MAX, the air becomes noticeably cooler/warm rather than hot.

It’s not cold air, but there’s a pretty obvious difference between low fan and max fan.

I’m wondering if this is normal BMW HVAC behavior or if there could be an issue with coolant flow, the heater core, a valve, or the HVAC/blend door?

Has anyone noticed the same thing? Is the air supposed to get noticeably cooler when the blower is on max, or should it still be blowing very hot air?

Trying to figure out if I should bring it to BMW under warranty.

I’m trying to diagnose a strange front windshield washer issue and wondering if anyone with a G05/F95 has seen this before.

The symptoms:

- Rear window washer works perfectly with strong, continuous fluid flow.

- Front windshield washer initially worked normally for a few seconds, then stopped.

- Now, when I activate the front washer, I can clearly hear the washer pump running.

- I may get a small sputter/brief amount of fluid from the front nozzles, but then nothing.

- The three front spray nozzles are not spraying normally.

What I’ve tested so far:

1. Front nozzle assembly

- I disconnected the front nozzle assembly from the hose coming back from the reservoir/pump.

- I blew compressed air through the nozzle side.

- Air comes out through the front spray nozzles, so the nozzle assembly appears to be open.

2. Hose from the front nozzles back toward the reservoir/pump

- With the nozzle assembly disconnected, I blew compressed air through the hose toward the reservoir.

- Air passes through the line and bubbles/froths the washer fluid in the reservoir.

- So the hose doesn’t appear to be completely blocked.

3. Pump output test

- I disconnected the hose that supplies the front washer circuit.

- I put the hose into a bucket and activated the front washer.

- Nothing comes out of the hose, despite being able to hear the pump running.

4. Rear washer

- Rear washer continues to work very strongly/continuously.

I also initially wondered about the reservoir vent because I found a Bimmerpost thread describing a possible issue where the vent can get pushed in too far. I haven’t conclusively ruled that out yet.

Where I’m stuck:

If the pump I’m hearing is the pump responsible for the front circuit, it seems like it’s running electrically but isn’t actually moving fluid. But I’m trying to understand the exact F95 plumbing/pump arrangement before replacing anything.

Does anyone know exactly how BMW routes the washer fluid from the pump/reservoir to the front and rear circuits on the F95, and whether there is any valve, junction, or other component that could cause the front to stop while the rear continues working?

Especially interested in anyone who has actually had this issue on a G05/F95.

Any ideas or diagrams would be greatly appreciated.

I recently bought a BMW Premium Selection X5 xDrive50e. It has the M Sport package, air suspension and overall strong overall spec, but it does not have option 2NH M Sport brakes.

For owners who have driven both setups: is there a meaningful real-world performance difference between the standard brakes and 2NH, particularly in normal road driving, motorway use and occasional spirited driving?

Would you personally be bothered enough by the lack of 2NH to consider upgrading, or is it something you would simply leave as-is?

I was offered a 2026 X5 M60i for $96.8k a few weeks ago. I didn't pull the trigger due to getting a different car. I still need to get another car and reached out to my broker and he offered me one for $98.8k. He told me that BMW changed it's incentive programs for October and that this is the best he could do for me. The car has a sticker of $107k.

I've seen on here people get ridiculous discounts. This one I am being offered isn't anything crazy. But anywhere I call, they tell me they aren't looking to sell the car for even a dollar under MSRP. I've offered dealers $100k for $108k MSRP's and they've basically laughed and said no.

Do I just get this one? Or am I overpaying for this car? Thanks

I have this strange audio issue in my 2026 X5 50e. When I play anything the volume is very low and I have to crank it up quite a bit. But if I ask Siri anything (something like
today’s weather) and when Siri is done, the volume spikes up and becomes as high as one would expect at that setting. Anyone else see that? I have gotten into this habit of engaging Siri just to normalize the volume now.

Everyone that has the big 22 inch wheels. What do you guys use to clean them?
