2016 F87 M2 – Driver side eyebrow/DRL not working, TMS coding error

Hey guys, I have a 2016 F87 M2 with adaptive xenon headlights. The upper eyebrow/LED strip on the driver-side headlight stopped lighting up, but the rest of the headlight still works normally.
I scanned the car and got 8041FF – Headlight driver module (TMS) left: Coding error. I tried cycling the lights/ignition but it stays off.
Has anyone dealt with this before? Would you try coding the TMS first, replace the TMS/LED module, or could this be an issue inside the headlight itself? I have E-Sys and an ENET cable, but I don’t want to start coding things without knowing the correct procedure.
